A rainbow has seven colors. However, scientists say it has six (and that indigo was made up by the church way back when because six is the devil's number). Even so, we continue to say it has seven colors, and we still believe it has seven colors. A rainbow missing one of its special colors, for each color is important, is no longer the rainbow that has been with us since we first learned of it. A rainbow with six colors is merely sunlight reflecting off the drops of water vapor in the atmosphere. But the rainbow which unicorns romp around, the rainbow with a pot of gold at the end, the rainbow that is a promise from God... that rainbow has seven colors.
By fact, a rainbow has six colors. We will accept that. (Or some of us will, some may still fight it.) But in many of our hearts, we will only love the rainbow with all seven colors.
