I'm currently sitting in the computer lab wearing sunglasses. I've been wearing sunglasses for the past 48 hours because my real glasses snapped in half and these are the only things I have to see with. So, I have managed to sketch everyone out and make tons of new friends.
Some unique problems at Sewanee:
-fog-- seriously out of control swallowing buildings, people and cars so that you cannot see 5 feet in front of you...especially when wearing sunglasses
-dogs and deer-- Sewanee is kind of a nature freak school so since I despise, abominate, loath and hate nature it's basically a perfect fit. However, all sorts of critters are allowed to roam free on campus...including unleashed dogs in classrooms, chapel, administrative buildings. Also the deer roam because Sewanee is a mountain forest.
One of my profs actually spent 20 minutes of class time urging us to petition the university to allow WOLVES back onto the domain to control the deer poplation. I suggested we allow bears as well to control the student population, but don't worry about it.
I miss you, my friends. I feel like I'm living 2 lives at once. Or maybe that's just because I'm looking at the world through rose colored sunglasses. Literally.
May, are you alive?
Love to all~
