Visitor Q
I watched Visitor Q last night. I'll never turn down a chance to watch a Takashi Miike film, more often than not I'm pleased with what he does, and this is no exception.
I wanted to make a flowery entry about how awesome I find the movie, how the characters and the themes and the whole thing just works.
I wanted to come here and tell everyone on my friends list to watch it... but honestly, don't watch it.
You know some movies have that scene, the one that makes you uncomfortable but you sit through it because, as a whole, the movie is worth it? Visitor Q is nothing but those scenes. The movie starts off with a father recording him and his daughter turned prostitute having sex in which the daughter makes fun of her father because he comes too early.
lol omg. Writing about this... makes me love the movie even more.
Later on in the film the father gets his penis stuck in a corpse because rigor mortis is setting in. He calls for his wife and she comes to help him.
I guess you could enjoy the movie like I did if you get sick satisfaction out of watching any of the Guinea Pig movies or Cannibal Holocaust.
It's a really good movie, it really is... just don't watch it.
