Percocet is love.
Surgery went really well. No complications, no delays. All of the nurses and doctors were extremely nice. I had a lot of support from my "moms". Everything was fine. I was really out of it yesterday and I still am a bit today and I'm starting to remember some things from the hospital. Apparently mom took a picture of me and once I figure out how to get it from her camera phone I'll post it up here.
I shaved my legs the night before. It's something so obsessive inside me the thought of being in surgery and having the doctor gag at my stubbly legs. I guess it's the same reason why my mom always straightened the house before the maid came to clean. I cleaned my room too because I figured it would make me feel better to recover in a clean open room rather than a messy one. It has made me feel better.
My orchid was dying for a bit but it seems to be doing better these days. A few new buds have blossomed and soon I'll try to re-pot it with some better mulch. I think the roots are unhappy with the garden-store mulch they threw in there. I mentioned before that nurturing my orchid was a way of nurturing myself but I think it's really more of an indicator as to how I'm doing. It was in full bloom when things were well and started fading when things got rocky and now I think I'll be able to start over and get myself back together. Spring break is next week and I'll have time to relax and recooperate from everything.
No luck with the job apps so far. I have some other prospects though. I made $60 this weekend from helping my English professor move. I also got a George Foreman grill and a tiny wooden nightstand. Today I also recieved my final paycheck from the Chimes, $35.41. I may stop by tomorrow and pick up my stubbs for my records and say hello to some missed faces.
Yesterday I got all of my iPod stuff delivered to me. I was too comotose to mess with any of it so today I set everything up. I replaced my iPod case with the same one. The old case got really scratched from my purse and school bag. I also bought some adorable Sony speakers. They are the cutest. I want to hug them. They hook right up to my iPod through the headphone jack so I can use them for other electronic devices too and they run off the battery supply of what I plug them into so I can take them ANYWHERE!! I also got an iGrip for my car to keep my iPod in place on my dash while I'm driving.
But the Percocet is starting to make me sleepy so I'm going to head to bed.
