Easter - The Time When We see What True Love Is.
Easter is when I look back, over 2000 years, to when my Lord went to the cross for me. It brings me to my knees to think that my Lord, the God that is eternal, awesome, all powerful and has the sheer power to create, give, and take away, humbled Himself to die for me. With tears in my eyes, last night, I asked, “Why, Lord? Why suffer so much for me? I’m not good. I’m so small, so unworthy…” But there is an answer to my questions. And that is love. He loved me so much He was willing to die and then, three days later, He proved He was the living Lord with enough power to over come death, something that people feared and could never control.
If He, God of the universe, loved us that much can’t we at least love each other? I hope today that you have peace and feel loved, for no matter what mortal or physical thing hurts you, there is a Savior that embraces you and carries you when you can’t stand. Emmanuel - God with us. Eternally. Everyday is resurrection day! Let’s live in God’s love and show Him our love by loving one another.
