青空の卵 and few things...

May 07, 2014 00:12

I've just finished watching Akutsu-kun and Ma-kun's drama, Aozora no Tamago, and... just... pure feels. I couldn't cry last night because there were people outside, and to be honest, at times I don't actually cry, but my heart does. (<- fuck my statement) Idk, I guess this is a part of my peculiarity.

The moment I started episode one, I knew I'd enjoy watching this drama. Then there was the opening with lots of feels.

it's okay, bb

Never, like, never ever, miss the op. It's like the base of all the feels all throughout the entire episode. It changes every story (so it changed 3 times), so... feels.

First stop: The story

Sasaki Tsukasa (Inoue Masahiro) is an ordinary man who works for an insurance company. But the moment he opened his heart and befriended Tori Shinichi (Akutsu Shintaro), he felt that his rather plain world became more colorful. On the other hand, Tori is a self-proclaimed hikikomori (a person who goes into seclusion) who hates to go out and meet other people. But to him, Sakaki is like a god - whenever Sakaki is at ease, nothing can shake him up, but when he is troubled, Tori would immediately get scared and cry as if he was the cause of he latter's sadness.

First story: A trio in the moonlit night
(episode one to three)

This was about a demon (who's identity is known to be a woman) that wears a raincoat and attacks men. She scares them by... cutting off their juniors (specified: penis).

At the same time, Sakaki Tsukasa and Tori Shinichi accidentally met a beautiful lady, Suda Kaori, in the supermarket.

{I'm not going to elaborate things any further so that I won't spoil anyone who would want to watch the drama.}

Second story: The footsteps of a mermaid
(episode four to six)
One day, while Sakaki was in the station, he met a blind yet extremely good-looking guy named Tsukada Motoi. He lent him a hand and accompanied him to the university.

The next time they met, Tsukada told Sakaki the reason behind why he became blind, and asked him a favor. Apparently, there was a twin who constantly follow him everyday - all day. He noticed it when the footsteps got familiar to his ears - one day it's a man's shoes, the next day it will be a sound of a woman's heels - this happened alternately.

Sakaki decided to help, and dragged Tori with him to find out who are these twins and what their plan is.

Third story: The child with wings
(episode seven to nine)
Sakaki saw a kid who seemed lost in the park. He asked for his name told him it's Mario. When he asked him if he wanted to go to the police station, the kid ran away, but he was able to catch him. Sakaki gave Mario his business card and told him to call anytime if he needs something.

Mario did call, and asked Sakaki to bring him to the address written on the paper he was holding. It was his papa's house.

On the other hand, Tori was quite troubled when his father sent him an e-mail saying he's going back to Japan to visit. He didn't want to see him, because of what happened in the past.

I really loved how the two of them portrayed their respective roles. When I watched Pole Dancing Boys, I was still awkward with Akutsu's acting, but when I saw this drama... it was mind-blowing. The sudden transition of his facial expression was perfect. As for Ma-kun, I think this is actually the first drama of him I've ever watched. But he was just so cute and adorable: his smile: and the way he calls Akutsu 'Tori~' (I better watch Kamen Rider asap)

The way Sakaki's mood affects Tori was very interesting. It pains me and makes me adore their friendship (or brotherhood) at the same time. It's like, Tori can't live without Sakaki's presence, and Sakaki wouldn't be so contented if he's not by Tori's side. They're like a puzzle: when there's a missing piece, it would never be complete. (A love story better than Twilight lol jk)

I just want to share some of the moments I really loved. Spoiler alert... desu.

As a whole, this drama was great. It touched my heart more than any other dramas I've ever watched. It wasn't just about the friendship (or the bromance), but also the lesson it taught me - at some point in your life, there'd be someone you would treasure more than your life; be it your lover, a special friend, a family. That person who would never leave your side and make you feel at ease by his mere presence.

Aozora no Tamago, simply amazing.
