"Lost Balloon"

I float around - a lost balloon
finesse of a bird, with only one wing
no, you cannot hold my hand
you'll never catch my drifting string

The winds, they push me, no resistance
I don't decide which way I go
will I land or will I fall
if you can tell me, let me know

The air inside starts to diminish
did you notice my receding?

While it's a lovely piece of work - as always! - it is a little... morbid?

"I'm a directionless, empty vessel floating through life and it wouldn't make a hill of beans if I wasn't around."

Depressing and a little fatalistic.... hope it's just a poem and not a case of art imitating life.

It is real life.

You can interpert it how u wish.
It's mostly about someone in a relationship who isn't happy, but is helpless.
