Hahaha, oh Leon. Morgause is a stronger person than I, to be able to make it through the end of that conversation without giving away her emotions in some way. You're making me like him, which is a difficult task given how much disdain I have for him in the show. But will he still feel this way about Morgana and Morgause when they'll need him to most? Hmmm...

Morgana showing off her knowledge in economics was perfect. There's nothing I love more than seeing her throw her weight around with Uther; taking him down a couple of notches, even though he'll never admit it. It's clear that she'll be able to rule this kingdom just fine without him.

I just realized that not only are we going to get to see some Gwen and Elyan interaction soon, but we also get to see Morgana, Gwen, and Morgause fretting over a baby together! Ooooo, I can't wait to see this! *bounces* I have a feeling that the fun won't last long though, and that this tournament might not go quite according to plan.

Leon's important, damnit! You need to like him.

From now on out the majority of the 'rebellions' that you will see Morgana make will be intellectual ones. She is going to start showing just how qualified she is to be a ruler.

And yes, there will be Elyan and Gwen together soon. :)

I will give your Leon the benefit of the doubt then! He has been a decent sort of guy so far, and you're not the awful Merlin PTB trying to make Uther look better by having Leon side with him. I will try to get over my well deserved hatred and distrust of him, but only for you :P

He is a decent guy. I think he is in the show too, its just the 1D writing of him the last two series which has let him down.

This time I'm not late in commenting, I was auite sad to have missed it last time.

This chapter is so wonderful. It shows that Morgana has the sense to know the difference between earning respect and being revered for what people think you are from afar. She knows a lot more than people could perhaps give her credit for. Morgause and she are well matched they are both overlooked for various reasons. Morgause has perhaps proved herself more, but as she's a Knight its easier for her to prove herself in fleeting moments Morgana hasn't had that chance yet, but perhaps its about to come.

Can't wait to see what happens with the outside threat now. Good luck with the rest everything so far has been wonderful. i feel like you've taken two caracters and turned them into sho they could have been in Merlin (morally who they could have been, and strength of character wise) before they got butched by writers who seem to not have a clue how to write women.

Me too! I'm glad that you've got in nice and early this time!

You will definitely be seeing a lot more of Morgana flexing her rulers muscles, showing everyone that she knows what she's doing and could probably do a hell of a lot better of a job than her husband is doing. Morgause is in a bit of a strange position as a knight. The first company, the one she is part of, have come to know and understand her. They do not underestimate her the way that a lot of the other knights do. Sir Leon has been her friend since they squired together and so he has a more intimate relationship with her, which she has done very well out of since he was made commander.

Things are going to be getting a lot more 'action-y' in the coming chapters.

As much as we would all love to see Morgana free of Uther, without him she wouldn't really develop much as a character. And, well, there wouldn't be much of a story.

Yes, the invading army will definitely stir up trouble!

I know, its been a long time! I was working 6/7 hour days with loads of work to do outside of that time too. There should be a lot more frequent updates in the summer months.
