Okay, so my tooth still has me in some pain, but I went to the dentist this morning and got some antibiotics, so it's tolerable enough that I can still work, which is awesome.
The exciting news though is I got an email I'd been waiting for for a while... and I've been accepted to spend three weeks in Florida honing my comic craft with Svetlana Chmakova, Paul Pope, and Craig Thompson *____*
Guys.
GUYS.
This is the coolest and geekiest thing ever. After Heroescon I'm always kinda sorta feeling bummed about my art and this was totally the boost I needed to get my ass in gear. And a chance to study techniques from Svetlana, who draws amazingly popular Manga... Paul Pope OH MY GOD PAUL POPE HIS INKS ldkjfaldakflajdkfl.... and Craig Thompson who does like... the most insane story telling ever. I am psyched.
Also, I have a pin up in a book that you can go buy in comic stores tomorrow. Which you should do. It's called JAM! Tales from the World of Roller Derby, and features stuff from people much better than me (including one of my room mates!)
