So there are like three days left of class now. What are some of the things that I have learned this semester? Umm... I hate German and my teacher is psychotic. POLS 1101 is the easiest class that has ever existed. Philosophy may be difficult, but it is also way fun and I may add it as a minor. English is always good, but I don't like Cormac McCarthy, Edith Wharton or Henry James. Gross. History is a great way to make one's self feel guilty for a plethera of crimes one has never committed, but at the same time, I enjoy it. What is a Family? Pretty much anything you want it to be. Media Ethics: like the leprechaun... many people talk about them, but do they ever really exist?
That was my summary of my classes folks. Astonishing.
Now I reserve some time for myself to totally flip out. As Jean and DJ and I sat in my room last night, pondering life and travel size bath products, I realized that in two weeks I am leaving the country, and my freshman year will be over. Where did it go? Where am I going? What the hell should I bring, buy, worry about, forget, remember, etc.?
Until last night I hadn't thought about all that. I didn't really get that in two weeks, there won't be Athens GA outside my window, and downtown won't be a 10 minute walk. I will no longer live within five minutes of 200 of my closest friends. I won't have a Jean or a Jeff. I can't go hide in the laundry room with my late night talking homies and I can't bond with any of my best electric friends: the laptop, the ipod, the cell phone, the radio, the DVD/VCR and all that jazz. No more Walmart, Pita Pit, 5 Star Day or The Grill. Feeling how tough this is now, I don't even want to try to imagine Senior Year.
In 341 hours I will get on a plane that will take me away from nearly all the things that I have grown to love and cherish within the past nine months. Wierd. Exciting. Terrifying. Wild. Unbelievable. I like it.
So last night I drank some Diet Lime Rasperberry Vodka Coke. Surprisingly good. With DJ and sometimes Jean as I wrote my German essay. Then I had some delicious Beer Cider in Drew's room while he was not very exciting. Then I talked to the Jeff and went back to the room and typed till about four in the morning. I do things like that. Oh well.
Not much else to say... I had a break between classes so here I am rambling. Y'all know me.
