Today wouldn't take very long to summarize... if I wasn't Lynzi Archibald... but I am! Sorry, but it is almost one o clock and I sitting in a fort that I have fashioned out of my futon, my bed and like five million blankets. Here I sit, illuminated by chili pepper lights, reminiscing back on a day that very much reminds me of the playful high notes on an acoustic guitar.
So I woke up this morning way later than I thought was humanly possible for someone when they nap for five hours the day before. I slept clear till eleven, that's like nine hours in addition to the five hour nap. Who sleeps four teen hours a day? Well at least I think that I have finally defeated my cold through rest. So I got up and went to brunch, which is always awesome. I laughed with everyone about random things and had a heated debate about how to pronouce certain types of Bacardi flavored liquors, and what molecules everyone would be. Honors Kids. Once we were done with that, I walked back and tanned on the top floor of the parking deck with DJ, who glared at me from the shade. Apparently he doesn't desire a nice bronze overtone like I do. Eventually I moved down to the quad, for the reasons I listed: The concrete is hurting my joints, I need to talk to someone down there, I am meeting a friend etc, but who am I kidding, I just wanted to watch certain half naked boys play frisbee and role around in the grass in my bathing suit in front of him. Oops... I mean them. : )
Soooooo... I talked to Adele for a long while and enjoyed the view. Then I eventually retreated inside to act like a twelve year old and try on Prom dresses with Adele, which is never boring. Always a good time. After she left to go study, and I still had more to read (story of my life... read, read, read, write about what I read, write, read it to someone, read, read...) so I decided that staying inside while the sun was out was a silly idea, so I trekked back outside and read on a towel on the quad for a good while.
When I was the last one left on the quad, and the sun had set below the trees, I decided to search for food, aka I went inside and read while thinking about food. Eventually I coordinated a trip to Wendys with Will, Gabe and Karen. Good food, pleasant drive with windows down, everyone singing DMB there and back and plenty of mutual harrassment among friends. Ahhh.
Upon returning home, I have been reading ever since, and because I had fifteen pages left, out of the 215 I've already read today, I figured I deserved a live journal break. And now, I have had it, so will finish reading, so I can sleep, and recharge, looking forward to much more reading tomorrow. Yesssss. Oh, and I would rather shoot myself in the foot than go to German tomorrow. Guess some things never change. Oh and I hope I remember to talk about the phone call that changed my life today. But it will have to wait till tomorrow because my eye lids are waivering.
