the easiest things are so hard

So another week, and I am trying to find ways to occupy my time. I've turned to web design as my outlet, I am finally working on a portfolio site to show employers. It's not going to be a full portfolio site, its just going to be my resume, references, and a selective portfolio, with a link to my PDF. Hopefully I can pull it of well.

After this endeavor, it is on to redoing my PDF portfolio. I need something... prettier! That is the only word I can use to describe what I want to create. That is really the best thing to describe my style lately, pretty. And really, there is absolutely nothing wrong with that.

Enough about this week, last week's ending turned out to be quite fun! Thursday I went to visit my lovely Sonya! We went to Veggie Heaven, and then saw Thumbsucker. Good movie, I do recommend it, I do. We had a nice tome together, I don't see her nearly often enough.

Friday, Steve came over and we hung out for the day, and then went down to his house for the weekend. His parents are in Florida for a week, so that is always nice. We had lots of alone time, and he showed me the photos from his trip (which he mainly took for me since he wants me to move there with him if he gets the job). It looks like a nice place, but again, its in Arkansas. I don't know, maybe I'll go if there's promise of a job. Who knows, it could be fun.

Saturday we hung out with Mike and watched movies. He brought over the new Katamari Damacy, which I absolutely love. We watched Primer, which was very, very confusing, and King Fu Hustle, which was hilarious! We ate pizza and had a great night. It felt like being at school again ::sigh::

Sunday was interesting as well. Steve and I wanted to get into the Halloween spirit and go on a haunted hayride, or to a haunted house, or something. So we looked some up online, and found one that looked really cool in Jackson. Justin, and his girlfriend (quite sorry, the name escapes me) drove up, and we went to pick up George in Howell. We drive all the way to Jackson, and its basically just someone's yard set up with lawn ornaments, no real people. It was quite sad, and even funnier than it was sad. George did a funny dance and we decided to go min-golfing, which was fun. I lost my pretty pink ball through the fence when I swung at it really hard after not getting it up the hill a few times, hit my head in the cave, sat in the Batmobile, and lost very terribly. Fun times!

This week is going to be slow. I went for my fingerprinting yesterday, which means I am 4-6 weeks from getting my letter, which means its at least 4-6 weeks before I can bring back the application for substitute teaching. This is taking forever. Should have done it over the summer, then I would be teaching and making money now.

Oh well, time to read for a bit. Llama love ♥
