So I'm still at 4,600. If I had a dollar for every time someone promised I'd be "out by Christmas"... I dunno, I'd have a lot of money. :) Even Jim (the President) told me today that they were shooting for December 24. It's all in jest of course but I'm quite ready to be better and go home. I love the people up here, but there are people back home (most of all my family) who I'd like to see again.
Below are some pictures of some (I don't have pictures of them all) of the people I've mentioned in my blogs, just so you'll have faces to put with the names/stories...
Here are Rachel and Robin - Rachel (and of course Robin, but she lives here so she doesn't really count) is the only person who's visited me since Deborah left - thank you sweetheart- that's true love. :)
This was my face when Rachel scared me, well, I'm sure I was paler, but this was the best I could do for a recreation... just imagine me a lot paler and not able to breathe at all
This is Deborah B, my dearest friend from the clinic
This is Maxine, thrice she's taken me out for an afternoon, in total we've visited 6 different museums in Manhattan - the beauty of it is because she's a volunteer at the Museum of Natural History I haven't had to pay admission even once. :)
This is Shelly. She's the one who heads up Kids Club. Sadly she left Tuesday for TX. I think she'll be back next week. :)
This is Matt, one of the Volunteers for Kids Club
This is Stephanie, you know, the walking Strong's Concordance, great girl. :)
This is Karen, she works at Starbucks, also sings beautifully. :)
This is Brad, one of the first people I met when I got here, he too has left. He'll be gone a month in Canada.
This is Debralee, the receptionist here at GTT. I've see her most often by far. In a sad twist of fate she too is gone for a month, she left Sunday.
Daniel (no photo available) is leaving Monday for California. Everyone is leaving New York but me. :(
