it's been a long time...

today i am not feeling so good, so i did not go into work. the problem with being sick is that your mind keeps working. so, while i am sitting on the couch resting, i am bored, bored, bored. i'd rather be nannying.

anyways, i do have time for a little update.

this past week i've been housesitting for one of the families i babysit for. so, all week i've gone to work, gone to my house to feed my cats, been sleeping at the family's house each night, hanging out with and feeding their two, beautiful cats. it's interesting being in someone else's house... they have "grown up" things, baby things (they have a 6-month-old boy) and "cool" things. the dad likes star wars a lot, so there's a fair amount of star wars fanboy stuff and also some simpsons and futurama things. last night, john and i played their simpsons monopoly while watching tv. also, i've definitely been enjoying their extensive dvd collection.

beyond that, i've been doing the usual with the same people. hanging out, watching movies, going out to eat too much...

on saturday, i cut myself some bangs being it doesn't look like my hair is going to be cut after all. though no one noticed that i cut myself some bangs besides the two people who were there when i did it, john and parker.

recently, i've seen these movies:
- lost boys of sudan
- what dreams may come
- x3
- wilbur wants to kill himself

lost boys of sudan was really amazing to watch, you have to damire those boys, their strength and determination.. i highly recommend it. so, being as i am a fan of c.s. lewis, though i haven't been christian in a long time, it's no surprise that i really enjoyed what dreams may come. also, i am a sap. if you like stories that treat christianity more like a sort of mythology, like preacher, rent what dreams may come... xmen 3 was entertaining, but definitely not as good as the first two. honestly though, i enjoyed it. in case you haven't seen x3 and haven't heard this already, stay until after the credits. wilbur wants to kill himself was interesting and weird, definitely worth renting. also, it's scottish.

i've been reading:
- love and rockets vol.3: lost women
- industry of war

i really, really love the hernandez brothers, please check out the love and rockets series, for real.

i've been watching, movies, i've been reading
