11 hours without power
basically ruined my 4th of july.
i dont like power outages, they're fun for a little, with the right people, but then it gets dark, and hot/cold cause there's no air conditioning/heat. i mean, im fine with them. happened when i was in the shower, finished the shower, was fine. still light outside, played a board game, did a crossword, listened to some music.
but
i missed the fireworks, THE fireworks, at the national mall
I missed all the celebrations at the national mall
it was getting hot
there was nothing to do
it was still dark.
so, in retrospect, i guess i mean i dont like long power outages.
power outages in excess of 6 hours. those which are widespread, i.e. there's not power ANYWHERE, traffic lights included, for entire towns and counties. i dont like them.
