Canon: Welcome to high school just as you remember it! There are the geeks, the jocks, the players, the nice girls, and the psychotic image-consumed head of the class - The one and only Yukino Miyazawa. At least, she was until she was knocked off her perch by the true model of a perfect student, Souchirou Arima. As she plots his demise to regain her position amongst the student body, love begins to blossom between the two. Eventually, they both decide to set aside their images together, and just act naturally as themselves. It doesn't go quite smoothly, but what would high school be without a little drama and a lot of madness?
On one hand, Yukino is a sweet, kind girl who helps her classmates whenever possible and is the apple of her teachers' eyes. On the other hand, Yukino is a force of nature that can bring anyone to their knees, begging for mercy. Obsessed with being praised since she was a child, Yukino strove to appear as a model citizen on the outside which left her real personality to warp and twist. Excitable and energetic, Yukino can go a million miles a minute in five different directions, plotting and scheming all the while. It doesn't help that she doesn't have a filter between her brain and her mouth or even her brain and her foot. Even if she's given up her facade for the most part, Yukino still has a competitive streak a mile wide and hates not being the best of the best. As crazed as she is, Yukino still manages to befriend even her enemies and comes to embrace her real personality with all its faults warmly.

Ah, everyone's in costumes! Hmm, the person with the best costume gets to get out? Hah! That has to be it! Everyone keeps copying each other with these zombies and gorilla ones. They can't tell that's not what the people here are looking for! Oh, they just need a little help and a perfect example to show them how to take the top! It's time to put twelve years of being a big sister and homemade Halloween costumes to work! Now, I just need a few sheets, planks of wood, paint, glitter, sulfuric acid, and lights... Hmm, but where do I get some... Oh! Well, it is for their sake after all, so it shouldn't be that bad. --Oh, everyone~!

Worried about a little competition, guys? Trying to destroy my costume with a little biting and manhandling? Well, I'm not just going to lie down and take it like some weak little girl!
