extra, extra
Remember when I was being all moan-y about not having anyone to go on vacation with me? Well, I popped the titty out of my own mouth and got my shit together and am going to Croatia tomorrow. I'm really looking forward to it - seems lovely and it's not so terribly expensive and god know I need the break. I am still a bit disappointed that I'll be going alone, but I suppose that's better than staying here alone.
In other news, my job called me in for a little chat today and told me that they were going to be reducing me to half-time. This is, of course, a gross violation of the contract I signed back in August but, hey. What're ya gonna do? The fact is that there just aren't enough students to support our salaries. From here on out, I'll be making half as much and working half as much. Only the former is problematic. Oh, well. I think I'll be okay, especially considering that I had a fantastic interview for another job just this week. Hopefully it'll all work out beautifully and I will spend a relaxing, easy summer barely working. Yes. That sounds sov ery doable.
Anyhow.
There's laundry and packing to be done before I leave. Katy's letting me borrow her camera while I'm away, so you can expect lots and lots of pictures when I get back. I will try very hard not to take photos of-- OH SHIT, SON, I JUST REALIZED I'M GOING TO A COUNTRY WHAT EATS PIGS! FUCK YES! I AM GOING TO EAT PIG AND PASTA UNTIL I EXPLODE! EAT A DICK, TURKEY, I'M GETTING MY HANDS ON A REAL CIVILIZED NATION! WHOOOOOOOOOOO!
