Bergen, Norway

I've spent most of my first day here napping, one of my top favorite activites. I'm having a little trouble getting used to the Norwegian keyboard I am typing on. Other than blissful reunion stuff, here is a little bit of what I have encountered so far. Most of it has to do with the grocery store:
"
- Nobody knows what soy beans are.
- No tofu
- Ketchup tastes funny... sweeter
- Houses don't usually have carpet
- They were surprised to see me giggling at "America's funniest home videos" ... "Americans really do find this funny??" I didn't explain that it might just be ME that finds it funny.
- Obvious stuff like light switches and toilets are weird.
- Toblerone is the best chocolate ever.
- Soda bottles look really different.
- There are big, beautiful rocks everywhere! And snow! And so many tunnels.

Today is study and sleep day. Gisle has an exam on Monday, after that we are off to the mountain cabin :)
