Oh, the anxiety sets in.
It feels a little like a screwdriver in my gut, turning
just a little and waiting for me to get used to it, and
then turning and tightening a little bit more as soon as
I've learned how to deal.
Even now, sitting quietly at my computer with my cats in
my lap, M. Ward playing in the background, my pulse is at
84bpm (yes, I counted) which is much, much higher than my
usual resting pulse.
