I saw God in a second grader
Today during student teaching the students were writing an essay. They were asked: "If you could give any gift to anyone you wanted, who would you give it to, what would you give them, and why?"
This is what my favorite kiddo, Dominick, wrote:
"If I could give a Christmas present to anyone, I would give my mom love. I would give her love because she loves me so much and I want to love her back. I hope she likes my present."
Dominick is a heroin baby. His "mom" is actually his grandma because his parents are drug addicts and abandoned him when he was still a baby.
Thank You Jesus for the reminder. You never fail to come through at the exact moment I need You the most. Help me to be more like Dominick, more like You...help me love my family.
