The Secret World of Arrietty
The movie officially came out today and is in theaters! Got to experience the midnight showing- because of that I ended up making it to work an hour late, and I'm still super tired!
Despite being sleepy driving to the theater, I was awake throughout everything- from the horrible and abundant previews (Madagascar 3, Lorax, Pirates! Band of Misfits, Mirror Mirror...ugh) until the end of the credits. Perhaps it was the salty popcorn that kept me awake, but the movie itself was quite enjoyable.
You won't be seeing crazy creatures like in Spirited Away or Howl's Moving Castle, but it has a simple, sweet story with great characters, animation and voice acting. Even the songs were localized- they sound pretty good!
I was excited for the English version because of Will Arnett, best known for his character Gob on Arrested Development.

Will Arnett's character ended up being pretty calm and a man of few words though- no random shouts of "COME ON!" happened like I had previously imagined.

AOD starts tomorrow! I'm excited to try out new and different Lolita coords as well as different wigs. My poor cat though- she's terrified of my wigs on the mannequin head, and gets scared when I'm wearing the wigs as well.
