And on point with other random things. So I just started tutoring this girl in geometry, and the poor thing had three hours with me last week (at the request of her mother). Anyway, clearly my teaching her three hours' worth of logic fizzled her brains, lol. Though I can understand, who'd want to do 3 hours of math during the summertime anyway? No, don't point fingers (and actually it was five hours every day for an entire month...). That's not nice.
Anyway, while she hasn't exactly pulled out, her mother has agreed to lessen the tutoring time to one hour. But get this, now the mother wants her younger twin girls to have some summer math fun (joy oh joy!). And this time in algebra. So they're also both having an hour a piece. Lawdy. Not that I'm complaining. I used to babysit all three of them once upon a time, and I adore the lil critters.
But holy crap. I got the algebra syllabus for the twins, and the first thing I did was inwardly groan.
First thing in there are sets. SETS. BAD MEMORIES OF SETS. I know this is high school level, and muuuch less extensive than sets in math analysis classes. But. SETS. Gawd, mah brains.
