take that, praxis site!

Since I seem to be slowly spiraling into a pool of overeager denizens of the deep looking forward to my loan repayments, I figure it was time to fold. I've decided to take the Praxis exams for teaching mathematics, though I'm not quite sure when I'm signing myself up for said exams. Not March, I won't be ready to take and pass it then, not with the amount of time I have to study/review at the moment. I'm a little math-rusty, as is. Though I'm not sure how far that'd go, considering I have almost no training teaching-wise, I suppose that can also be remedied.

Anyway, I bought a practice book to study out of, 'cause clearly I can't just cut corners now and use only one particular outline to help me. I feel like being in high school again, studying out of practice books for standardized, multiple question tests. Meh.

On the plus side, I also ordered myself Bloodhound, the second book of the Tamora Pierce's Beka Cooper series, which I'm particularly pleased in doing. It's been a while since my last TP read. I need my fix eventually!

Finished Lirael by Garth Nix. Holy crap almighty! It's a good thing I have a four-day weekend. I'm spending half of that finishing Abhorsen (which is, thankfully, shorter than its predecessing novels). Speaking of which, I suppose it's time to put David Eddings' Mallorean on hold in the library. Will do that before I really do go to bed.
