A/N: Written for the Fairy tale/Shakespeare prompt at sm_monthly . Consider this my very, very deep bow to the genius that is ellorgast  with her sexxy slashly soxx. My Mamoru is neither as funny nor as emotionally complex as hers, but he is one thing: angry. Honestly, no idea where this fic came from.

Lytton, can I tell you how much I LOVE this, and I'm honored that you'd think of writing something in the Monstersocks verse! You and V both keep managing to take these characters and do something I never expected with them, yet still make them fit exactly how I picture them in my head. You're brilliant!

I LOVE that this is first person. I can't do first person. I get bored being in one character's head after about two lines. But you make it work so effortlessly!

In the past, there was a moment when I had everything. I was a prince, but that’s not the point, totally not the point. The point is that I had a family, I had friends, and then I even had Serenity. I had it all, and suddenly, I didn’t. Here I am, reborn an orphan with amnesia and four stones in a box that no longer come and talk to me.

If these lines were giftwrapped in an ugly jacket and some roses, they would be Mamoru. It not only sums up his situation but why his situation is so important for him

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR LIKING THIS!!!!!!!! You know how much I adore Monstersoxx, as I've said before, it's my happy place and when I looked at the prompt, I thought: do I dare to soxx it? And then there was too much temptation to resist it and here we are.

You're right, he probably doesn't have any yet. But in his dream dinner, he so would. There is a reason he fights in a tux. :D

I am working on more soxx. You'll be pleased to know that all your fantastic fic inspired me to fill in a lot of the gaps in the next chapter, so now it's in two big chunks instead of five little ones.
