I'm glad you like the idea. I was thinking about what Minako could do that is not related to the media and I somehow stumbled over archaeology and the idea stuck.
Also I am super-impressed by how you tell a story via correspondence. I have a hard time finding stories through letters interesting a lot of the time, and I have a hard time writing it myself, but you do it so effortlessly. It really gives a sense of what is going on back home while also highlighting some of the characters (like how Rei only says what she considers important).
Thank you so much! The fic was originally planned as consisting of the first few paragraphs in proper prose and then to be followed by letters only, but I realised at some point that it would limit the V/K reunion scene in the end (and would make the fic really, really long), so I changed it around a bit. I do love the letter writing though, it was so much fun. (Rei is a horrible friend to be in a long distance friendship with.)
