No, no no noNO no NO nonono NO No. Nope. No no no NO NO NO no.

I refuse to accept this. This is too sad. No. This latest addition is KILLING ME DEAD WITH ALL OF THE FEELS. The rest was fantastic but this new part THIS NEW PART is BLOWING ME OUT OF THE WATER. Oh my goodness it's not fair how you can make me feel these things when I ALREADY KNOW what the outcome is, but you DASH ALL MY HOPE and you have Kunzite give a genuine heartfelt warning all the while he's slowly becoming evil, RIGHT BEFORE HER EYES and it's only partly magic because it's mostly because to Earth this all makes SENSE.

LYTTON I AM WEEPING.

I second Charlie's opinion. No. No. Nononononon.

I second Warrior's opinion - no one does V/K like you and I love you for it. You make them such realized characters.

Still, this is all so very pretty and dark and gorgeous that you are forgiven. Except that baby - that baby better make it, or else there is no hope.

Lytton, you have such a talent. I say this because this has to be the first time I've read any of your Venus-centric stories (and you have so many brilliant ones) and felt so utterly conflicted about her. Part of me absolutely can't stand her for a good part of this interlude (her interaction with Jupiter and to some extent, Mercury, is quite painful), and yet, the other part of me wonders how anybody could manage the pressure she's under with such poise. She's very much the leader in this, though a fallible one. And oh my goodness, I can't possibly overstate how ominous Kunzite has become here. Still recognizable as the man Venus loves, but oh so different. The detail of him following her up to the Moon with such ease - oof. I love it. And the other bit I found interesting - how Venus notes almost offhand her belief that Mars is "better" than her, more honorable and gentle. As the leader of the Senshi, she's really willing to get her hands dirty, isn't she? - but at some level it still truly troubles her. Brava, as always.
