There are so many things to love about the Interlude. Your SilMil verse is fantastic, and if I didn't want more of On Razor's Edge so badly I'd ask you to write it IMMEDIATELY.

“Jadeite is busy tonight,” a cold voice cut into the darkness, and Venus stiffened. “I'm afraid you will have to make do with me.” Eeeep. Kunzite has some of the best lines in this chapter. He's positively chilling, and it breaks my heart.

What a dilemma Mars and Jadeite are in, and both sides are so convincing! I love Venus asking about the fire here, and how she doesn't understand it. It's a nice echo of what's going on in the present.

“I was taken there once. It’s lovely, Venus, so full of life and goodness. And the flowers, they are not like ours, they are full of colour and---”
Venus’s face darkened. “Are you telling me, now, after months of Serenity travelling down there, that there is another world hidden from view? One, if I infer correctly, you and I cannot enter without the aid of someone from Endymion’s guard?”
Jupiter blanched. “I had never thought of it like this before.”
What you did with Elysion and how it means something different to everyone is brilliant. Adventure, sanctuary, danger, a place with unicorns and a Book...

Boo, Lady Beryl! She gets to go on a trip with Jadeite and Zoisite. Wonder how that's going for them... At some point I would love to see SilMil!Ami/Zoi as well.

“Tell me, have you ever, for one moment, thought that we could do it? Taken a stand in front of the universe? Venus and Earth, together? That we could be the symbol you think your planet needs?”
His answer was as simple as it was immediate. “No.” He didn’t even look sad, she noted, not even sad. Just matter-of-fact, unperturbed. Perhaps a bit annoyed.
You just broke my heart. Along with Minako's.

The talk of re-evaluation and what's going on with the Silver Alliance is fascinating. I really love how it's being handled here and your take on Luna. As usual, you're spot-on with the characterizations!

On my first read-through I absolutely loved the Nephrite/Kunzite interaction. (I still do of course.) But it was so shocking! And re-reading makes me appreciate the parallels with the CT-time incident. The portrayal of Nephrite as down to earth nature and being able to identify and communicate with the common man are great traits that also accord with modern day Hiromasaa.

Now you've made me curious: why is it that Serenity will leave so willingly when Mercury comes to get her?

I always wanted to write a big SilMil fic, but somehow, felt it was too daunting. So instead, I wrote a big CT fic (headdesk) with bits of SilMil thrown in for good measure. I am so glad you like the SilMil verse though, it's ridiculously fun to write.

Oh yay, thank you! (What a weird thing to respond to someone speaking of heartbreak, but bear with me here.)

You picked up on that! Most excellent! Venus has no idea how the whole premonition and vision thing works, and thousands of years later, Minako still doesn't.

At some point I would love to see SilMil!Ami/Zoi as well.
Duly noted, I will try to work something in! They are so drama-free, they often get shoved to the backseat, which they clearly do not deserve because they are adorable.

And the question is, what is scarier, a Kunzite, who is fully in control of his powers, but willing to use them, or a Takeshi, who is not in control, but trying his best not to use them in any situation?

Now you've made me curious: why is it that Serenity will leave so willingly when Mercury comes to get her?
Kunzite thinks because Mercury is shy and quiet and stays in the background, she is weak. She isn't assertive, she isn't a soldier, to him, she's a girl. A nice one, but a girl. He himself wouldn't listen to a girl; he responds to strength. But Serenity is a different kettle of fish; she finds it harder to resist Mercury's simple plea than all of Venus' and Mars' admonishments combined.

Does that make sense? And I just saw that you have left me even more comments! Ice, wow, thank you so much, what a treat!!!
