More interesting, likely. Less frustrating... possibly not, since Shawn was all the way across the country. Equally frustrating in a slightly different way.
Lana sat up. "Shawn? Oh, God, I'm so sorry! Lex has been calling me all day to try and get me to come home to some stupid Halloween party he's having this weekend and I thought you were him again."
Stupid, of course, was a relative term given the thousands and thousands of dollars and A list guests who'd be there.
"I am planning a stupid Halloween party," he allowed... He just wasn't Lex. "And I'm guessing this means you probably can't come," he added. It was a little last minute, which was kind of his own fault.
"I can get someone to pick you up," Shawn promised. "I can't promise I can get out there, things are crazy right now, but talking nicely to a teleporter should work."
"I'll be prepared," Shawn agreed with a chuckle as he shifted down in his chair. "Jordan can suck it up." One of the benefits of being who he was, it wasn't like he could get fired and easily replaced.
Her phone was ringing all the same.
