Working an actual case - or at least doing grunt work behind the scenes - was both more exciting and more boring than Lana could have imagined. Still, when someone like Dr. Lee asked for you by name and gave you the opportunity to work directly with them, well, that more than made up for the crazy long hours, bad hotel room, and time apart from the guy you loved.
She had another hour or so before they were meeting up, so she decided to use the time to destress a little, put her feet up, read a book, and finish up the bad take-out from last night.
Still, she wouldn't mind if someone was to interrupt her with a phone call...
