week 1
Came up to MSU last Thursday after working my last day at RGIS. Rob and Mo helped me move in, then a group of us went to Midnight Madness in my van (those buses are just crazy). Mo and I watched a few Farscapes before school started and we had a girl's night at the theatre watching The Brothers Grimm. Didn't really know it was going to be scary, but it was pretty good. Filled out some paperwork for my new job and met some people I'd be working with.
I think Biochem is going to be ok. The class is small and the teacher is awesome. He's posting all of the notes way ahead of time and also posting a recording of the lecture with the slides that he's drawn on. I didn't even know you could do that. Histology is going very quickly, but Isaiah is in my class and recitation and lab. It's always nice to have a friend in class :) Speaking of which, Mo, Marilyn, Isaiah, and some other people are in my Evolution class.
Amanda bought Firefly at the mall yesterday and we watched half of the season last night :P I do so love the writing and the characters. "Aye, Captain Tight-pants" Hopefully there will still be lots of time for obsessive sci-fi-ness once I start attempting to work and read for class in the same day...everybody else does it, I'm sure I'll be fine.
Mo really wants to go abroad for Winter Break and showed me this amazing study abroad in New Zealand. I'd love to go, and my excuses for not are incredibly lame except for the one that I don't know how fast I can get a passport. Must learn to do things that scare me...
