I guess your first project isn't going to be perfect!

So, I messed up on Billie's blanket and have since started over on it. Then I messed up some more, but I didn't feel like restarting it, so I frogged it and attempted to fix it that way. Well, it didn't turn out as planned...left me with holes and just some weird stuff...I dunno. It's not that big of a deal though, it's my first project and it's for my cat. And like my dad said, he's not going to criticize me if it's not perfect, lol.

But yeah, I've decided to try to teach myself some new knitting techniques. Last night I was trying to do increases, but was too tired so I just gave up for the night. I'm going to try some more today.

I purchased Stitch'n Bitch and it's a great book! Now I can return it to the library. Also I borrowed a book from the library, A History Of Hand Knitting by Richard Rutt. I couldn't even begin to read it though. It's very dry and has words I do not know. Normally I could just look them up in the dictionary and continue on, but in this book there's so many, so I just gave up. I don't want to be sitting there looking up every third word, it would take the pleasure out of reading. I am interested in learning the history of knitting though. Does anyone have any book suggestions that are actually good reads?
