Hyde continued to whimper, clinging to the younger man. “Are you SURE they’re not coming?!” he asked, shivering so hard it made his human support beam rattle.
“Yes, I told you…they can’t come in here.” Sam snapped, rolling her eyes. Her spirit was possessing her once more…and she looked beautiful in that state, sitting on the couch in a manner that reminded the two men of a goddess.
“Thank you for helping us on such short notice.” Gackt said, giving her a bow. hide snorted.
“You didn’t give her much of a choice, remember?” he asked, looking at them.

Twenty minutes ago
“Oh my god they’re here!” Hyde sobbed, as they reached a hut. The creepy spirits surrounded them, cackling obnoxiously. hide and Jonathan stood in front of the two mediums, blocking them to the best of their ability.
“Pervy kid, protect them while I fight them off.” hide ordered, looking at him.
“What about you?” Gackt asked, his heart rate speeding up.
“hide don’t do it!” Hyde wailed. The two mediums jumped, at the sound of a door creaking.
“Huh?” The more experienced one asked, turning his head to the door behind them.
“Who asked you to follow me?” Sam demanded, giving them a dark glare.
“Who says we WERE?!” Gackt demanded. Sam rolled her eyes, before hide caught her eye.
“What the hell are you DOING?!” she demanded. The pink haired man turned to her.
“What does it look like you hag?” he demanded, before getting hit in the face.
“Okay that’s it,” Sam growled, snatching Gackt by the arm.
“Wha-?! Wait!” The young man wailed, snatching Hyde by the arm.
“Whoa!” he wailed, getting yanked inside. hide turned his head, to notice that Jonathan was already inside.
“Heh….bye.” the ghost giggled, before jumping through the wall. Gackt and Hyde both watched with wide eyes, when the angry spirits jumped at the wall…then fried.
“….Scary.” Gackt mumbled, while Hyde clung to him.
“Satoru I’m scared…what if they come back?” he whined.
“You shouldn’t worry…they’re not coming back.” hide sighed, shaking his head.

“And what the hell was that about earlier?” Gackt demanded, glaring at the spirit.
“What are you talking about?” hide queried, hanging upside down.
“What gave you the stupidity to want to fight them by yourself?”
“….Let me think…the same stupidity that made you try to die for me.” The spirit replied, giving him a smug smile. Gackt and Hyde both stared at the ghost, with miserable expressions on their faces. To be reminded of that close call so suddenly, made them want to squirm.
“I’m sorry Nisan,” Gackt mumbled, blushing slightly. hide gave him a smile, before kissing his forehead.
“No apologies are needed kiddo, you’re just not as good as me.” He snickered, yanking him into a headlock.
“Let go…” Gackt whined.
“This is silly,” Sam mumbled. “What are you doing anyway? Why are you two trying to teach this man how to be a good medium anyway?”
“So he can defend himself,” Gackt snapped. “What would you do, if you woke up one morning with all kinds of ghosts chasing you?”
“They’ve been doing that since I was a child.” Sam snapped. “I never asked for this, and I never asked for help.”
“Then how do you know all of these things?” Hyde demanded, getting annoyed just as much.
“I conned my way into knowing them…only when it suited me.” Sam snickered.
“….You…have problems.” Gackt murmured, gawking at her. The smaller man stood up suddenly, glaring at the elderly woman. “Hideto, what are you-?”
“I’d rather get swallowed by those ghosts…then stay with YOU.” He growled, before storming out the hut. Sam blinked a few times, before staring at the ground.
“Aren’t you going to go after him kid?” hide asked, wanting to poke him….but knew better.
“No, Hideto needs time alone…and you know how he is with disgusting people like her.” Gackt replied, glaring at Sam with all of his being. “I wish I had the backbone to go out there in his shoes…because I sure as hell would…after kicking your crumbly ass to the moon.”
“Go Satoru! The old lady basher!” hide couldn’t help but snicker.
“Shut up!” The young medium snapped. “Go and find Hideto yourself, if it’s bugging you that much!”
“Sorry, but I prefer tormenting you until YOU do it.” The spirit giggled, sitting right next to him in Hyde’s place.
“You know, it’s going to be dark soon,” Sam warned. “You know what they say about sunrises and sunsets around here.”
“….I don’t.” Gackt admitted with a bad feeling.

If only I knew it was going to be this cold… Hyde mused, walking further and further into the woods, not even bothering to see where the hell he was. The sun was setting…and it was getting really, really dark. The cold air was starting to really get to him. Hyde couldn’t take it anymore, so he sat against a tree, to huddle up and get some form of heat to his body. He sighed deeply, taking in the peaceful wilderness.....wait…peaceful? Why is it so quiet all of a sudden?
“GRAAAAAH!!” A skeletal spirit roared, jumping on the small man.
“WAAAAAH!!” Hyde screamed, practically climbing up the tree.
“Where do you think you’re going?” another asked, wrapping its frail, thin arms around his neck, stopping him still.
“Nowhere,” Hyde squeaked, shivering violently.
“We figured that,” Several spirits giggled, surrounding him completely.
“Say your prayers little man.” Someone whispered in his ear.
“No,” The frightened medium decided, shaking his head, closing his eyes tightly. “I’m not going to let you do whatever to me!”
“There’s nothing here to stop us and-“ Screams filled the forest…only meeting the ears of the mediums in the area, as the spirits caught fire.
“Huh?” Hyde asked, opening an eye.
“Haido, are you alright?” Gackt asked, taking his face in his hands.
“No,” he sniffed, looking elsewhere.
“I’m sorry, I should have went with you…I was being such a coward.” The younger man said gently, running his fingers through his hair.
“Coward’s not even the word.” hide dared to say, floating over them. “I should kick your scrawny ass.”
“Shut up will you?” Gackt demanded, glaring up at him. “We have to find a place to stay…other then with Sam.”
“How do we get out of the woods? I’m lost.” Hyde whimpered, clinging to him.
“I don’t know, I got lost looking for you.” Gackt mumbled.
“Lovely.” The couple mumbled, pouting.
“Ooookay, we have about five minutes, before more of them come….where do you think we should go? Huh?” hide asked, while Jonathan looked around nervously.
“I’m scared.” He whined, clinging to hide.
“Haido, the sun isn’t going to rise for a while…” Gackt said quietly.
“A while? How long is a while?” The smaller man asked, feeling nervous.
“Six months.” Gackt replied, sighing deeply.
“Wha…WHAAAAAT?!” Hyde demanded going wide eyed.
“Nobody told you to go to Alaska.” hide snickered evilly.
“SHUT UP!” The couple snapped, glaring at him.
“What are we going to do?” Hyde asked, pouting.
“Maybe it was stupid of us to come here…we have things to do too.” Gackt mused, looking around.
“I can’t concentrate with creepy ghosts hovering over me.” The older man whined…all eyes went to hide, who looked around.
“Why are you looking at ME?! I’m actually here to HELP remember?!” he demanded, resting his hands on his chest. The mediums looked elsewhere, looking for any place for shelter.
“I’m freezing my ass off.” Hyde whined, leaning against the taller man.
“So am I.” the younger man grumped, glaring at hide. “Why did this have to happen?”
“Why are you asking me? It’s not ALL of my fault you know.” He reminded him. “Shit, they’re coming. We need to hurry up and get out of the woods!”
“Tell me something I DON’T know.” Gackt muttered, taking Hyde’s arm. “I can only use my power for a certain amount of time…before I end up useless and exhausted.”
“Well then let’s run until we find a good place to hide.” Hyde suggested, before they started, not even bothering to look for a direction to run away.
This chapter is short...mainly because I kept drawing blanks. ^.^;;;
