The normally quiet apartment was suddenly disturbed when the front door slammed open. “Hey! What have I told you about slamming doors?!” A loud voice shouted, as a furious teenager stormed into peaceful place, completely rigid with anger.
“SHUT UP! You’re RUINING my LIFE again!” he shouted, as a smaller man with shocks of gray hair and a rocker’s attire, followed him. “You NEVER listen to me! You have NO idea what I deal with!”
“You act like I WANTED to do this! You don’t understand-“
“I don’t FUCKING WANT TO! You never want to understand me so why the fuck should I?!” the boy demanded. “I’m fucking 17 years old, and you hardly know me…I hate that, and I hate…I hate you.”
“Ryosuke-“ Hyde started, when he stormed to the back of the house, and slammed the door shut.
Hyde shut his eyes, resting his head on the wall. Maybe it WAS time for him to retire. He ran his fingers through his hair, staring into space.
Ryosuke sat on his bed, fighting his sobs…it wasn’t true, he didn’t hate his father, he was very loving and caring…but he couldn’t understand….he had no idea. “If only he could understand.” He barely sobbed.

The day started bright and shiny, the sunrays taking over the bedroom. Hyde yawned, stretching, and scrubbing at an eye…before his eyes widened. “Hm?” he asked, looking around. “Why am I in Ryo-chan’s room?” he asked, looking around, to see no one. He stood up, scratching his head, not even noticing that his height changed. Just as the rockstar was about to step out the room, a rush of footsteps hit his ears, and a body ran into him. Hyde looked up at the person on top of him, and his eyes widened. On Hyde…was….was Hyde? Screams filled the house.

Ryosuke fidgeted, as he stared at himself…well…his dad…who was fidgeting just as much. “I had no idea I had acne on my chin.” He muttered.
“I didn’t know I was that gray.” Hyde gasped wide eyed.
“This is fucking freaky.” The teen said in awe.
“What have I told you about cussing?” his father asked, glaring at him.
“I’m in a grown man’s body I can cuss if I want to.” The boy retorted.
“But you’re NOT a grown man!” The man reminded him.
“Tell that to people who see me on the street.” Ryosuke mocked, sticking his tongue out at him. “And YOU young man…gotta go to school.”
“WHAT?! No…HELL no. I’m not going! I already dealt with highschool…not doing that shit again.” Hyde snapped.
Ryosuke raised an eyebrow at him. “Today I have an important test to do…and if I fail…I might not pass this grade…so….”
“….You suck.” Hyde growled.
“I love you daddy you’re the best.” Ryosuke cooed.
“That sounds wrong coming from my voice box.” Hyde murmured, going pale.
“….You’re right it does.” Ryosuke muttered, his eye twitching.
“Well since I have to go to school…YOU have to go and record, and you have a da-appointment with Gacchan.” The man in a teenager’s body chided with a smirk.
“….Singing? No problem I can do that-“ his son chuckled with a confident smile.
“No…playing the guitar.” Hyde said, his smirk growing.
“I…I have to play the guitar? Are you fucking kidding me? I can’t play the guitar!” his son wailed.
“You’re me remember?” Hyde asked with an evil grin. “You’re a grown man, you can do whaateeeever you want. Well I guess I might as well get ready for school. Toddle-loo.” He sang, skipping off.
“Dad…that’s NOT funny…DAD!”

Ryosuke fidgeted, as he sat in the studio….staring at Kaz, who was staring back at him. “So…you’re saying…you’re not Haido…and he’s at school?”
“Yes.”
“Seriously Hai-chan…that’s funny. Your jokes are the best.”
“Kaz-san I’m serious!” Ryosuke protested. “I’m NOT HAIDO!”
“….Prove it then.” Kaz said raising an eyebrow.
“Um…remember that time when we came to visit you in your hotel room in Hawaii…and a lamp broke next to your bed…and you thought it was Mom who broke it? That was me….and I’m sorry.” Ryosuke muttered, looking elsewhere.
“….”
“And uh…remember how you used to let me play with your drumset when Dad wasn’t looking…and you took me to get my tattoo and kept it secret and-?” The boy ranted giving him an earnest look.
“….Holy fuck you really ARE Ryosuke!” Kaz gasped, his eyes as wide as saucers.

Hyde fumed, as he walked down the hall…his son…had a fucking tattoo. Who said he could get one? How long did he have it? Where’d he come up with the money to get one…and most of all….HOW LONG DID HE HAVE IT? “Ryo-kun, what’s up?” his best friend asked, nudging him suddenly.
“Hi.” Hyde replied, giving him a dull scowl.
“What’s wrong with you? You look rather pissy this morning…did your old man really dig in your ass last night?”
Hyde’s eye twitched, as he bit the inside of his lip to keep from cussing him out. Suddenly an arm wrapped around his middle, and the body of a girl pressed against him. “Hiii Ryosuke, are we going to meet up the same time tonight?” Hyde’s eyes widened, before he turned to face her.
“Of course.” He lied, giving her a casual smile. She walked off swaying her hips extra hard.
“…Whatever you did to Mina last night, you gotta tell me so I can get my girlfriend as happy as yours Ryo-kun.”
What the hell? Ryosuke never said ANYTHING about having a girlfriend!
“Oh class is about to start, you ready for that test Ryo-kun?”
“Yeah…I guess.” Hyde said as he walked in. He sat down, took one look at the test and cringed. Oh fuck it’s math. I…I HATE math. He thought as his eye twitched. It’s been nearly twenty years since he actually HAD to practice it on full blast.

“How long do you think this will last?” Kaz asked. “What if you’re stuck like this forever? Your father and I have touring to do, and he still works with Tetsu, Ken and Yuki.”
“I know…I KNOW.” Ryosuke whined. “Dad’s going to kill me, he knows I have this stupid tattoo now.”
“I know, but he’ll get over it…you know…I think you should cancel that da-outing you have with Gackt.”
“Why? I like hanging out with Gackt-san.” Ryosuke said, raising an eyebrow.
“Just trust me on this okay? Just cancel it and go home.” Kaz warned.
“It’s just a friendly outing? How bad can it be?”

Hyde was just about to leave when his son’s nameless friend came out of nowhere and took his arm. “Hey, there’s this cool place I wanna show you…it’s a café that serves liquor to teens...so cool man.” He laughed.
Hyde’s eyes widened, as he let himself get dragged there. “Look, there’s something I have to do-“
“Or your Daddy will spank you? Ryosuke you gotta chill out about that, he’s never home, he never pays you any mind whatsoever, you can do whatever you want and it’d slip under his nose, yet you still do EVERYTHING you’re told.”
“I got that tattoo without him knowing.” Hyde said bluntly, ranting mentally about how much he wants to maim him for it.
“Yeah that’s true…that’s about the ONLY bad thing you’ve done, you don’t drink, you don’t smoke, you don’t get into fights unless someone provokes you, and even then half the time you walk away.”
“Walking away is the right thing to do.” Hyde muttered, as they walked into the café.
“That sounds sooo nerdy of you.”
“I can’t help it if I am one.”
“But you’re NOT Ryosuke, you got all the girls chasing you, everyone likes you…Heh…and you call yourself a nerd.”

As soon as Ryosuke rang the doorbell, to Gackt’s home, the door flew open and he was snatched inside, he was slammed against the wall before he could register what was happening…then…he was kissed. Not a friendly peck on the lips either. His eyes widened, as a tongue explored his own, and as the shock faded, he pushed Gackt away. “WHAT THE FU-?“
“What’s wrong?” Gackt asked. “I thought you missed me…and wanted to-“
“WAIT…wait a minute…are you dating my dad? Is my dad gay?”
“Huh?” Gackt asked. “Did you bump your head on the way here Haido? Are you okay?” he took the teen’s face in his hands and kissed his head, making his eyes widen again.
“I’m NOT Haido! I’m Ryosuke!” the small man wailed, trying to get away.
“….You must have hit it hard.” Gackt mused, staring at him. Ryosuke ran away, trying to leave, only for Gackt to yank him back inside and close the door.
“Stay back…stay away from me.” He warned, pointing his cell phone at him.
“But-“ Gackt tried, feeling a bit wierded out.
“NO!...Keep away from me.”
“….Okay.” Gackt said quietly, backing up some. Ryosuke fearfully dialed the number.
“Hello?” Hyde asked, looking around the café, as he sat with his friend.
“DAD WHAT THE FLYING FUCK IS GOING ON?!”
“Hm?” Hyde asked, holding the phone from his ear.
“Your dad sounds pissed.” His friend mused.
“Hold on, let me take this.” Hyde said, walking outside. “What’s wrong?”
“GACKT KISSED ME!! HE CHASED ME AROUND THE HOUSE!! HE KEEPS ASKING ME IF I BUMPED MY HEAD AND-“ the frantic teen babbled insanely not even coming up for air.
“Ryosuke, calm down, take deep breathes, and tell me what happened.”
Ryosuke kept looking at Gackt fearfully. “I knocked on Gackt-san’s door and he opened it, then he kissed me….why did he kiss me Dad?”
“Um…what’s going on?” Gackt asked wide eyed.
“He kissed you…because…we’re sort of dating.” Hyde confessed looking around.
“YOU’RE FUCKING GAY?!” The shocked teen asked, forgetting about being in Gackt’s apartment and in front of him.
“Bisexual is more of what I am.” Hyde corrected, looking elsewhere.
“IT DOESN’T FUCKING MATTER YOU DIDN’T TELL ME!” Ryosuke roared, making his father feel as if he were watching one of his concerts. This statement pissed Hyde off though, and his eye began to twitch violently. Who said he can get angry at him about this? Or act as if HE committed some kind of crime? He was a grown man and he could do whatever the hell he wanted.
“Oh like you told me about this tattoo? How long did you have it Ryosuke? You didn’t tell me about your girlfriends, how your friend is an alcoholic, You’re angry at me, because I’m dating a MAN but you’re hiding things from ME too? How hypocritical is THAT young man?” Hyde demanded, getting odd looks from people walking by…and not caring one bit. Ryosuke grew quiet. “Have Gacchan pick me up. I’m at demon café, with your stupid drunk of a friend….he should figure things out by now of who we are.”
“….Yes sir.” Ryouske said, giving Gackt a weary look. “Wait…just in case, talk to Gackt.”
Gackt took the phone. “Um…Hello?”
“Gacchan, I’m sorry…I should have told Ryosuke to cancel our date.” Hyde said with a pout.
“What is going on seriously?” the younger man asked. “I don’t understand, Ryosuke is claiming to be Haido and vice versa. Which one is really Haido?”
“Dammit I AM.” Hyde snapped. “Let me prove it.”
“Okay then.” Gackt agreed. Ryosuke watched as Gackt started blushing, and looking elsewhere. “Okay, OKAY it’s really you. I’m coming to get you, just sit tight.”

Hyde watched as his son got out the car, glaring at him. Hyde couldn’t help but to return the favor. “Listen you-“ they began when Gackt got out.
“Okay, get in the car you two…we really need to talk about this…in a CALMER manner.” He said in a lecturing tone.
“Oh fine.” They muttered, getting in.
“Now…Hyde you go first….what are you angry about?” Gackt asked.
“You promised me you wouldn’t get a tattoo until you were an adult, you told me you don’t like dating so you never have girlfriends, and you didn’t tell me about your friend’s problems. You don’t tell me ANYTHING Ryosuke, no matter how hard I try to be part of your life.” Hyde borderline ranted, glaring at himself…er…his son.
“Like you tell me anything either…you didn’t tell me you were into men, you just told me that Gackt was your best friend and that was why you were always hanging out together…is this why you and Mom divorced?” Ryosuke demanded, his hands fisting…refusing to look at his father.
“No.” Hyde replied. “She loved someone else…and so did I…and when we both realized it, we left. It wasn’t out of hate or despair…or infidelity. We still talk and hang out now you know….I never told you…because you never asked…and part of me didn’t think you really wanted to know.”
“So….what you said about you and Mom…was true?” Ryosuke asked, finally looking at him.
“Yes.” Hyde replied with a smile.
“…So…you DON’T keep anything from me….I’m…I’m sorry Dad.” Ryosuke muttered.
“So…about that tattoo…how long did you have it?” Hyde asked, giving him a dull stare.
