I was almost home, when Seiji got into my path. “Haido,”
“Hm?” I asked, when he snatched me around the corner, covering my mouth.
“You can’t go back…your brothers are waiting for you and they intend to kill you.” The ice demon warned.
“What about Gackt?” I asked glaring up at him.
“He’s fine, he escaped.” Seiji replied, rubbing my shoulder. “But they want you dead.”
“Heh, that’s nothing new.” I scoffed, starting off again, only to be slammed against the wall.
“Gackt is waiting for you at my bar.”
“You own a bar?” I asked, raising an eyebrow.
“Hey, I have to make a living you know.” He reminded me, giving me a dull look.
“True, but a bar?” I asked, tilting my head.
“Just come on!” Seiji ordered, dragging me there.

When we got to him, Gackt was sitting at a card table with a little ice demon, glaring at the cards, before finally picking one up. “Wrong!” the child giggled, clapping his hands. “Uncle Gackt is wrong!”
“….Oh well.” The hybrid sighed, placing the card down. “Your turn Kaoru-chan,”
The kid picked up a set of matching cards, before picking up another and another…before we knew it half the deck was gone. “Woow,” I gasped.
“Are you sure you’re not cheating?” Gackt asked, gawking at him.
“Nooo,” the boy giggled, smiling.
“Kaoru has a photographic memory.” Seiji explained, gaining their attention.
“Daddy!!” the boy giggled, running to him.
“Haido!!” Gackt giggled just as childishly trying to pull me into one of his death grip hugs, of course I dodged him.
“So, what happened when my stupid brothers showed up?” I asked, tilting my head.
“Nothing,”
“…..What do you MEAN by NOTHING?” I demanded, my eye twitching.
- - -
Well according to Gackt, ten of my brothers stormed into my apartment and the oldest fucker pointed a gun at him. “Time to die freak.” He snarled. Gackt stood up and smirked at him, before jumping out the window. His silver wings sprouted from his back and he flew to his brother’s bar.
“Gackt what are you do-“ Seiji started, gawking at him.
“Haido’s brothers came to kill me, and I think they want to kill him too…can you warn him for me while I stay here?” the younger man asked, giving him a pitiful look.
“Gackt-!”
“I’ll watch Kaoru-chan for you.” The hybrid bribed, smiling cutely at him. The ice demon’s eye twitched at this.
“I love you dear otouto, but you get on my nerves.” He snarled, before leaving.
“Bye Nichaaan.”
- - -
“You broke…my window?” I asked, glaring at him.
“Well…yeah.”
“YOU BROKE MY WINDOW?!”
“I couldn’t go out the door, they were blocking it!” The hybrid wailed, backing up.
“I should break your neck and throw you out that broken window!” I roared…when I suddenly felt a sharp kick to my shin.
“Leave my uncle Gacchan alone!” Kaoru shouted, glaring at me.
“…OW.” I snarled, glaring back at him. The little demon ran to his uncle and wrapped his arms around his legs.
“Don’t worry Uncle, I’ll save you.” He said sticking his tongue out at me.
“He won’t hurt me, Haido likes me.” Gackt said reassuringly, smiling widely, while hugging the boy back.
“I think I’m going to puke.” I gagged, rolling my eyes.
“What do you think your brothers want with you?” Seiji asked suddenly, getting our attention.
“To get rid of their only flaw in their perfect blood line of course.” I snapped. “Look, since I was born and they figured out my existence they had to find a good reason to kill me, but when I started making money and getting people’s attention doing Tetsu that favor, they left me alone…but now that I’m with Gackt the reason to wipe me out came up again.”
“What does my brother have to do with this?” Seiji demanded, while Kaoru continued to glare at me….like that twerp could do anything to me.
“They know how vicious Gackt is, and they know he’ll fight them to protect me, so why not get rid of the protector before killing their enemy?” I asked, raising an eyebrow.
“That’s terrible.” The two other adults gasped.
“That’s what kind of men my brother’s are.” I sighed, running my fingers through my hair. “All of them have it in their heads that the kind of demons they are, are the shit, they can walk all over people, all because a simple kiss can get anyone hot and bothered and want to screw, make them fall madly for them and all that shit. They’re stupid.”
“Is that why you’re so distant to others?” Seiji asked, while Gackt tilted his head.
“That’s why I can’t stand anything living or breathing….well partially, there are other reasons as well.” I replied.
“Can you tell us?” Gackt asked.
“Nope.” I said bluntly, shaking my head.
“Why not?” Seiji asked.
“It’s none of your business.” I snapped. The hybrid walked up to me with worry all over his face.
“Can you at least tell me?” he asked. “I’m here to understand and comfort you and you know this.”
“Who says I want this?” I asked, feeling the love and affection surrounding me…and making me cranky as hell. I really wish he would stop that, but I know he can’t help it…God that’s annoying.
“I do, and it’s not like you can do anything about it.” Gackt mocked, wrapping his arms around me. Seiji and Kaoru both gawked at us, as he started carrying me off while I squirmed.
“Let go of me you asshole!” I shouted, fighting him as much as I could.
“Nisan, do you still have that spare guest room?” he asked glancing at him.
“Yep.” Seiji replied. “Take all the time you need.”
“Thank you.” The stupid , tall, jackass said happily, carrying me off to the spare room. My jaw dropped when we came in. The room looked so much like Gackt’s bedroom at his house that I nearly forgot where we were. “Welcome to my second bedroom.” The hybrid laughed, dropping me on the bed.
“….Heh, what you like living here or something?” I asked, trying not to make fun of him too much.
“Nisan likes to make me feel at home as much as possible…to remind me that I’m always welcome in his heart.” The soloist explained, sitting next to me. “Now, it’s your turn to get such a luxury.”
“I don’t want it.” I said flatly, glaring at him.
”Well, you’re going to get it whether you like it or not…I want to know how fucked up my brother in laws are so I can give them a proper and sound beating from yours truly.”
“….I can kick their asses myself.” I snarled. “And what the hell do you mean ‘brother in laws’? We’re not married!”
“I know that, but I want to help…so tell me what I need to know, or I’ll cuddle you senseless.” Gackt ordered, glaring at me.
“….What kind of threat is that?” I asked, gawking at him.
“In your case the worst kind, since cuddling with me is torment worse then you can handle.” My lover and tormenter replied, pulling me into his arms. I squirmed.
“I’m not ready to tell you.” I growled, wanting to knock him off the bed and run…but yes I refrained. How did I grow to be so damn nice?
“Why not?” He asked rubbing his face against mine.
“I don’t like to speak of it….and I damn sure don’t like remembering.” I replied, shivering.
“What if I remember with you?” Gackt asked, making me squirm even more.
“No! I don’t want to!” I yelped trying to get away.
“If it gets too painful we can stop.”
“You don’t understand!” I shouted. “It’s ALL painful!”
“Okay, then I’ll suffer with you.” My annoying lover by force decided.
“Who says I want you to?” I asked.
“I do.” He replied, kissing my head. “Here, let me hold you so it won’t be as bad.”
“Fine,” I sighed, giving in…something I find myself doing a lot…what the hell did I do to end up like this?”

“Mommy,” I asked when I was three years old. She looked down at me and smiled warmly. Like all fire demons, she was beautiful, yet scary. You can always tell if you saw a fire demon in disguise. They looked beautiful to the point where they nearly don’t look real…but their demeanor and pride stick out like a sore thumb…you don’t even have to give them a half a glance before you notice. Her dark hair was pulled into a ponytail, and her skin was a very light pink as if she were blushing all over. My mother’s eyes were black as night, and very enjoyable to look at.
I remember spending most of my days with her clinging to her like a life line, and staring into her eyes for comfort, just like that evening. “Yes darling?” she asked.
“How come people don’t like me?” I asked, with slight pain in my voice. She sighed, pulling me into her lap.
“It’s not that they don’t like you sweetie, they fear you.” My mother explained, holding me close.
“Why?” I asked, getting curious. “Am I ugly?”
“No, you’re very beautiful…the most beautiful being in existence.”
“No, you are.” I protested, pouting. She smiled at me, before kissing my cheek.
“They’re scared of you, because of who you are…who your father and brothers are.”
“I have brothers?” I asked, my eyes widening.
“Yes, I never met them, but it’s more then obvious.”
“….Will I ever see them?” I asked, staring at nothing special.
“One day you might find them all.” My mother chuckled, holding me in her arms. “Hideto, your father and brothers, are demons, who use people to their own whim.”
“….Use?”
“Yes, you must never kiss anyone outside of your family, unless you love them….or they’ll love you and do whatever you wish them to do…and when you tire of them, you’ll leave them alone and in sadness.” The fire demon explained. “And when you have children they will all be boys…just like you.”
“Really?” I asked, blinking.
“Mmhmm,” She hummed musically, kissing my head. “If something should ever happen to me, find your brothers…whatever you do, NEVER look for your father.”
“Why?” I asked, getting too curious for my own damn good.
“Just promise me you won’t.”
“I promise…but Mommy, how will I know if I found a brother?” I asked, staring into space.
“You know that pretty mark on your back? The wings?”
“Yes?”
“Your brothers and father will have that same mark.”
“Mommy, what does Daddy look like?” I asked, wondering whether to use this information for avoidance or for confrontation.
“If you ever run into him, you’ll know.”

When I was seven years old, I came home from fetching water for my mother and me, when I found our home on fire. “MOMMY!!” I wailed, rushing to it. The angry mob that stood before the flames looked at me.
“Look, it’s the little bastard…looks like we didn’t get him after all,” One of the demons of the village mused, while the others started inching towards me.
“Come little one, it’s time to join your mother.” A woman coaxed, smiling at me. Knowing better, I ran. I had no idea where I was going, or what I was doing, I just knew that I had to get away from them.
That night I found myself lying deep in the forest, soaked in the rain with nothing to shelter me. I huddled under a dried out and leafless tree, and cried myself to sleep.
- - -
I wandered blindly, looking for my brothers…with no other purpose, until I found one of them, the oldest. I was eleven years old when I saw him. Like the very night my mother passed, it was raining heavily, to the point where most people or beings would run and seek shelter, which I had none of. So it wasn’t really hard when I spotted him. He was in an alley with a woman, doing exactly what my mother taught me so long ago. The woman was completely nude, giving herself to him without holding back any, and when he was through using her for his need for pleasure, he let her go and kissed her one last time, before walking off. The mark that looked like nothing more then a tattoo on his shoulder blades matched my own identically. “Nisan,” I called without hesitation.
He turned to me in surprise, then walked right towards me. “What did you call me?” he asked, raising an eyebrow.
“Nisan,” I replied, fearlessly staring up at him. The young man looked me up and down and smirked.
“You really think I’m your brother?” he asked.
“No, I KNOW you are.” I corrected, blinking.
“Okay, let’s have a little test then.” He decided out of nowhere.
“What do you-?” I started to ask, when he kissed me…and not in a brotherly love type manner. When he pulled back, I punched him in the face.
“Heh, looks like you ARE…” he mused, staring me up and down. “How old are you kid?”
“Eleven.” I replied, wanting to go find a bottle of acid to rinse my mouth out…God that was gross.
“….You’re a runt…my otouto is a RUNT?” he asked. At the time I didn’t know he was insulting me, and I probably wouldn’t care, I was so desperate at the time.
“What’s your name?” I asked nervously.
“For me to know and you to wonder kid.” The man snapped, glaring at me. “Now get lost, I have things to do.”
“You don’t understand!” I shouted, grabbing his arm.
“What?”
“My mother is dead, and I don’t have anyone. She told me that I need to find my brothers-“
“Heh, oh I see, Mommy wants me to look after you.” The asshole mocked, smirking. “Well sorry, I’m not a baby sitter. Good luck.”
I watched as he walked off, wanting to beat him over the head with something. That fucker…you know what? Forget it! I’ll live my life on my own. I decided, before continuing my journey down the street in the rain.

Over the years I kept meeting my brothers, and kept getting the same treatment, even though I didn’t ask them for shit. I was pretty much alone, I used people every now and then, but only to survive and realized more and more that I didn’t like doing that shit one bit. I’d rather saw my limbs off myself then use anyone in such a manner. Every time I did it, I felt sick, and I lost a piece of me…eventually my heart shriveled up and died…and no one mourned it’s passing…not even me.
I eventually found myself on Earth, tired of demons period…only to find that a lot of them were present as well. What the hell? Well anyway, one day when I was about one hundred years old, I found myself in a province that was dealing with famine, and constant raids. So yes, I was starving. Yes I eat human food and prefer it. Eating humans isn’t my cup of tea, well anyway….I decided to leave the province, during a really nasty battle. I have no idea how for I’ve gotten, before I passed out in the middle of a pathway to another village.
- - -
I woke up some days later, in the home of a young man, who looked like a farmer who was suffering from famine as well. “Oh so you’re awake.” He giggled, smiling at me. I forced myself to sit up and glared at him. “I hope you don’t mind that when I found you, I brought you in, fed, and washed you.” He said gently, giving me a smile. I raised an arm to find that I was wearing a yutaka that was far too big for me, then I continued to glower at him, letting my eyes turn their natural color. “I KNEW it!” he laughed suddenly, making my eyes go wide. “Honey he really IS a demon!”
My jaw dropped in disbelief. How the fuck did he know?
His wife and three children ran into the room, excitement and curiosity in their eyes. “Are you a demon sir?” the woman asked, taking my face in her hands. I glared at her, and let my fangs elongate…but instead of shrieks in fear, I got giggles of joy.
“Bunch of loons.” I sighed, rolling my eyes.
“Ah, so Demon-san DOES talk!” the man laughed, while the children clapped their hands.
“….I have a NAME you know!” I snapped at him, accepting a bowl of rice…that was filled a little too much, but at the moment I wasn’t generous or grateful, I was just being a greedy bastard.
“So what is it?” the woman asked, as I started stuffing my face, I gave them an honest answer, but it came out muffled and weird.
“Haido? What an interesting name.” the man mused, while I swallowed the huge mouthful of food.
“No, my name is Hideto.” I corrected, before going right back to shamelessly stuffing my face. The family huddled together, talking very quietly, before looking back at me.
“We like Haido better.” They said, smiling brightly.
“…You are the strangest humans I’ve ever dealt with.” I mused, finishing my meal. “Thank you for the meal, now I must be going.” I stood up and bowed, before starting to rush off, when the three children tackled me. I fell flat on my face. “OW!! What the hell?!”
“Please Haido-san, don’t leeeeaave.” They whined, clinging to me like I was their life line.
“But-But-“ I whimpered, trying to get away from them.
“You’re not well enough to leave yet.” The man explained, sitting nearby. “You’ve just barely regained enough strength to wake up…you were dying when I found you.”
“I-I was?” I asked, thinking about how I was before I blacked out.
“Yes, when I found you, it had been obvious that you’ve been like that for days. Your heart was barely beating, and you didn’t respond when I spoke to you.”
“You…you saved my life?” I asked, stunned by his explanation. “But why?”
“No matter what creature falls into danger, they deserve a chance to live, that is why I’m a farmer and refuse to go into war. My father was a vassal for a warlord, and when he passed away, I ran away from that life. I refuse to be someone who takes another life.” The strange man explained.
“And what about the raiders? Do you try to fight them off?” I asked, raising an eyebrow.
“Only when they come for my wife and daughter, NO ONE touches them unless they want to die.” The human’s eyes flashed with the same violent gaze most men of that time wore, before he looked at me. “And you…what role do you play?”
“I mind my own business, and stay out of people’s way…and they do the same for me.” I scoffed. “I came to the human world, tired of demons and their fuckery, only to realize not only do demons reside here too, which makes me sick, humans are just as bad as they are if they want to be.”
“So you have no place to run huh?” the woman asked, while the children dusted me off and helped me sit back down.
“Pretty much.” I sighed.
“How about you stay with us?” the man asked, tilting his head. “My name’s Tetsuya by the way.”
“Nice to meet you.” I sighed. “As soon as I’m well I’m leaving.”
“Okay, suit yourself.”
- - -
Instead of leaving as planned, I ended up staying with them…for the next few hundred years. Every now and then I’d wander off for a while, and instead of asking questions or worrying, they’d let me go. After all I needed my space and peace, but I always came back. After all I promised Tetsuya as long as his blood line existed, so would I. A while back, one of his descendents saved my life again, when one of my enemies broke into my home and tried to kill me, losing his life in the process. My bond to his family grew tighter that night…after all, they happened to be the only people I remotely care about, and the only people my brothers allowed me to be near without torturing them…after all, they’re a bunch of bastards who hate anything that makes me happy, but they’ve dealt with hell for going anywhere near Tetsuya’s family tree, many, many times.
- - -
I sniffed, rubbing my face into his chest, soaking his T-shirt. “I’m so sorry.” Gackt whispered, rubbing my back. “This whole thing isn’t fair to you….I wish there was something I could do.”
“There isn’t.” I snapped, my voice cracking. Damn him, for making me cry again. Is this all he’s capable of doing?
“Maybe there is…maybe I can confront them.”
“Maybe you’re insane.”
“….There’s no maybe about THAT…I AM crazy and it’s all your fault.” The hybrid teased.
“….That’s not funny.” I muttered, glowering at the wall.
“Now that I know what you’ve been through, I can see why you hate your heart, but I love it, so I’m going to cherish it and nurse it back to health.” Gackt decided.
“Who the hell said it was sick?” I asked, glaring up at him. The soloist smiled, before kissing my nose.
“Me.” He replied, before resting his head against mine. “Now, be a good little patient and get some sleep.”
“I’m not tired.” I growled, squirming out of his arms.
“Yes you are, all that crying tired you out.” Gackt laughed, refusing to let me go. “Here, I’ll take a nap with you.”
“No! I don’t want to!” I wailed, trying to get away, only to fail miserably.
Here's entry five, and it appears to be getting easier for me to write this. ^.^
