Hyde continued to cry, as we lounged in his living room. Anis and Gackt were there, sulking as much as we were. Hyde was hiding in his wings, bawling his eyes out, hardly saying a word. Ju-ken was sitting nearby with Ryoko patting his shoulder, pouting the same way he was but cuter. I was leaning against the wall, watching Megumi and Ryosuke try to get our vocalist out of his hiding place. “Haido, please come out of there?” Gackt asked, pouting. Of course Hyde didn’t say anything, he just sniffed, his feathers ruffling slightly.
“What are we going to do?” Ju-ken asked. “I know that’s what Haru thinks is best but I hate this.”
“So do I.” I sighed, craving a cigarette with all of my being. “This isn’t fair at all. I had written so much music lately, and Haido’s written so many beautiful lyrics that-“
“WAAAAAAAAAAHHH!!” Hyde sobbed loudly, his feathers ruffling even more. All eyes went to the sobbing winged man with sympathy.
“Haido’s taking it harder then we are.” Ju-ken realized, pouting slightly.
“I think I would too.” Anis sighed. “I mean, you all worked so hard for this, spent money you didn’t have, got into arguments with your band mates-“
“Hey!” Gackt whined childishly.
“Well you got support from Gacchan obviously, but you guys worked so hard…and now it’s slipping through your fingers.”
“For the dumbest bodily function issues on earth.” I growled. “Right when I started to accept my blessing…it turns into a curse again.”
“Stop blaming it on your halo!” Hyde shouted at him through his wings. “Your halo didn’t do it.”
“….Oh NOW you wanna talk.” I scoffed, rolling my eyes. “Haido you don’t know what it’s like-“
“Kaz, your halo is a part of you…do you not realize that?” Our vocalist demanded, appearing from behind his feathers. His face was red, his eyes were puffy and his hair was a mess. “When you say you hate your halo, you’re telling me that you hate yourself. Do you honestly hate yourself?”
“Um-“ I started.
“Why do you hate yourself? You’re a wonderful human being that deserves a halo.” Hyde sniffed, not even bothering to wipe his eyes.
“I’m not worthy of this halo.” I protested. “Someone with patience, love and doesn’t smoke would be better off with this stupid thing!” *Pow!* “OWWW!!” I shouted in pain, clutching my head.
“Nice throw sis.” Ju-ken giggled. “I didn’t even know books could be thrown that way.”
“Thanks.” Ryoko scoffed, storming towards me. Everyone watched with wide eyes, as she grabbed me by the collar roughly. “Look stupid, apparently you ARE worthy of this halo since it’s sitting on top of you! You shouldn’t beat yourself up…I mean look at Haido and Nisan! They’re upset because all of this is being taken away from you for such a stupid reason! They don’t loath what they have so why the fuck should you?”
“….Scary.” Anis murmured, wide eyed.
“Isn’t she wonderful?” Ju-ken asked, smiling broadly.
“You don’t underst-!”
“Shut up will you?!” Ryoko demanded, before snatching me roughly. “Come on.”
“Wait-What?!” I asked, being snatched out the door.

“Listen you dummy,” Ryoko ordered, as we sat in her car. “I know your halo gives you a hard time, and you might end up disbanding VAMPS, but you should be yourself…love yourself for who you are.”
“Why should I?” I asked, feeling tears forming in my eyes for the first time since all of this crap happened. “This halo is ruining my life.”
“Only because you’re letting it.” Ryoko snapped, before pulling over in an abandoned parking lot. “Let me show you something. I watched, as she pulled off her leather jacket and lifted her shirt slightly, showing scars on her stomach. “When I was five years old I was in a car accident…my stomach was impaled by pieces of my mother’s car when we were hit. I was called ugly and all kinds of things for the rest of my child hood. At first I let these scars ruin my life, making me hate myself more then anything….but one day I really thought about what happened that day. I nearly died, if the metal would have went further inside of me I would have never seen my mother or brother again. Yeah I have these scars, so the fuck what? But I’m alive aren’t I? After that I went to the beach in a bikini…and got hit in all day.”
“Really?” I asked tilting my head.
“Of course I did! I’m cute enough for the attention.” Ryoko giggled, patting my shoulder. Well it is believable what she said…after all she is beautiful with enough confidence for the both of us and then some. “Kaz, you have to learn to love yourself…if you don’t…then who will?”
“…That’s a good question.” I sighed, staring at the dashboard. “What are we going to do about VAMPS?”
“I don’t know, but I know if you talk with your band you’ll know.” She sighed, staring off into space.
“Ryoko,” I called.
“Hm?” she asked, looking at me again. I boldly kissed her cheek, making her eyes widen slightly.
“Thank you.” I mumbled blushing.
“Aww you kissed me…and you’re blushing.” Ryoko giggled, wrapping her arms around me. “You’re so cute.”
“….That’s nice to know.” I sighed, blushing even more.

We walked back into Hyde’s house, to see everyone staring at us with wonder. “Kaz…why are you blushing?” Ju-ken asked suddenly, before looking at Ryoko. “What did you do to Kaz?”
“NOTHING!” She snapped at him, blushing more then I was.
“Sure you didn’t…that’s why you’re blushing too.” Anis teased, holding a hand to his mouth.
“Oh shuddup!” Ryoko snapped, glaring at him. I found myself laughing softly.
“What’s so funny?” Hyde asked, tilting his head.
“She really didn’t do anything Ju-ken.” I sighed, shaking my head. “I guess Ryoko’s shy too.” *Smack* “OWW!! What did I do?”
“Stop picking on her…only I can do that!” Ju-ken snapped at me.
“….Only an older brother would say something like that.” Gackt mused. “Kaz, are you feeling better about yourself now?”
“I guess.” I admitted, staring at the floor. “But what are we going to do?”
“Be ourselves of course.” Ju-ken and Hyde replied, smiling at me.
“Did I miss something?” I asked, gawking at them.
“Mmmhmmm.” They replied, smiling even more. What are they plotting?
These chapters just keep getting shorter...oh well. The next chapter will be the final one guys. ^.^
