Love Me for Who I Am, Vol.3

Love Me for Who I Am, Volume 3
Yesterday afternoon I ran a few errands, one of which took me to Uwajimaya/Kinokuniya. I went to get a copy of the recently published Love Me for Who I Am, Volume 3. And Kinokuniya did have the volume on display in the English Manga New Releases section. They had something like four copies. I took the one in front.

I did a quick flyby of the art books and didn’t see anything I had to have. And, normally, I’d wait for a 20% off sale for members when purchasing an expensive art book. This was a normal 10% day. Kinokuniya had emailed me a heads-up that my membership was expiring at the end of the month. I’ll renew the next time I make a purchase. There are new English manga volumes coming out next month; Kinokuniya won’t have to wait long for my renewal.

After months of being out-of-stock, sakura rice crackers have returned to Uwajimaya! I assume this is for a limited time, as expiration date on the crackers is July, and the store doesn’t restock these on a frequent basis. I bought five bags (and will go back for more later, as I didn’t want to look greedy). I also got an adorable reversible bunny plushie.

I read the new manga volume last night. It aligned with my expectations from looking through the Original Japanese Tankōbon. There was a spotlight on Ten-chan... a spotlight on Suzu and his boyfriend, Haruto... a story of Tetsu and Mogumo coming out to Tetsu’s friends, Naoya and Yūma... and big spotlight on Kotone, as Mogumo and the others at Cafe Question! try to help Kotone deal with her sexual identity angst. It didn’t happen... nor were there any obvious foreshadowing hints... but I’m still holding out for a Kotone x Mei hookup. (Mei did show some extra concern and does have Kotone on her mind.) There weren’t any Mei stories this time - nor will there be next time - so I’m hoping for Mei breakthroughs in volume 5 - the final volume of the series.

To be consistent - and I know I’ll use it - I bought the eBook version of the volume at the Apple Book Store.
