You were actually the first person I thought of when I saw the episode. "Wait, what is Blaine's deal with not wanting to put his sexuality on display and how will this affect his future career as a stripper?" LOL. This was the guy who grabbed his crotch during Hot For Teacher and sang "You can leave your toys in the drawer tonight" during When I Get You Alone, so it was very confusing even without your story invading my brain.

I've seen other people theorize that his recent first time with Kurt changed the way he thought about intimacy and made him want to keep it private and special, or that he feels like competitions are totally different from goofing off in class or putting it all out there for Valentine's Day. Which I think might make since. I have to admit that even though you handled it gracefully and it wasn't too jarring, I'd still like to see a little more that indicates what in his AU back story made him a person who is comfortable stripping rather than a person who slut-shames Sam for stripping. No pressure. ;)

But even if you have no explanation, I'm ok with it (I live in constant fear of getting Jossed mid-story myself) because this story continues to be amazing and intriguing and fun.

SEAL CLAPPING. OMG.

Honestly, I'd planned for a little wiggle room because I do not live a spoiler free life. I read about the Sam thing and kind of wrote it off as a joke, or like... one of those spoilers that you can't take seriously or your head will explode. But I wrote a tiny tiny bubble into the fic, that mercifully didn't pop once the episode aired. I mean, if I hadn't known, I would have literally died of shame once the ep aired.

I have attached a gif reenactment of my HotS reactions.

My reaction to Finn/Rachel/White Chocolate:

Blaine & Sam confrontation:

"I am not for sale."

I do completely agree with those theorizing that his first time with Kurt changed his perception of intimacy and sex. I just watched Sexy for Burt voice, and Blaine had no problem leaping on the idea that the Warblers had to become sexier-- but then again, this was also the same kid who interrupted Kurt's anecdote about Nationals in order to say that the Finchel kiss was incredibly inappropriate. I think that for Blaine, performance =/= competition. They are two very different creatures. So yeah, he'll say the Warblers need to get sexified and lure school girls into a warehouse, but they'll go on to sing Raise Your Glass in a pretty tamely choreographed number.

I am actually writing a few shorts over Christmas and New Years. I will gladly write you a little historical scene or two on how he became more comfortable with stripping, because I don't see me getting to into it in this story. In my head, Grace!Blaine became comfortable because he's always loved performing, and because he's never pictured himself as being for sale. Because he wasn't for sale, he could distance himself from the more damaging aspects of his profession.

Ugh, and the fear of Jossing? Let's not even... I LIVE IN TERROR, SOUFFLE. TERROR.

This makes so much sense, and I had actually forgotten about his reaction to the Finchel kiss. You're smart.

That would be so awesome! :D :D *dances*
