I adore this city. My room is tiny and hot, everything is ridiculously expensive, and I have a slight infection that I'm dealing with, but London is incredible. I've only been here for 2 1/2 days, and already, it's starting to feel like home. Mom and Dad are coming to visit over the week of Thanksgiving, and I can't wait to show them around my temporary home. By then, hopefully, I'll be practically an expert. I went to a few pubs the first night to get to know some of the other students in the program, and last night after seeing "The Woman in Black" (which is an amazing and TERRIFYING play) Kate and I met these two charming gentlemen who wanted to show us this underground dance club. It was so so so so so much fun. People don't "grind" here like they do in the states. They just DANCE. It's refreshing. I didn't feel like I was being sexually harassed at all. And now I shall type words I never thought I'd ever type: Two cute British men fought over me. They're good "mates", but they both wanted my number and were trying to be the first to "ring me." They didn't actually like fight, but they exchanged a few words in good fun. I'm not gonna lie, even though nothing's gonna happen, it felt pretty damn good to just stand there laughing at the whole situation. I'm glad I made some local friends, though. They were so much fun. Today, I saw Greenwich and can't wait to return. Tonight I'm going to The Globe to see some Willy Shakes like the peasants used to: Standing up on the ground floor. For the whole show. WooHoo. Have I mentioned that I love London? AGH!
