Merlin I hate winter!
I mean truly, completely, absolutely loathe it.

It's cold and wet. Snow get in everywhere. The wind burns your face. No matter how many pairs of sock you wear, your feet are still soaking wet every time you step outside. It's dark before dinner. Everything is dead and boring ( Read more... )

Ice is definitely the worst part.
I'd rather go south for the Winter.

Oh yes!

A cold-free, ice-free winter.
That would be nice.

Unfortunately, we are stuck here, 10 inches deep in snow.

I'll just have to sit here and stare at pictures from the beaches I hit during Christmas (Not that I'm bragging which is a lie because I have a huge ego and the world knows it) and pretend I'm still there.

Lucky you!
I bet you had a wonderful time.

I've never been anywhere outside United Kingdom. But I would love to travel one day. I'll probably take a year off after Hogwarts to visit a few places.

I did. It pretty much rocked. A lot of surfing.

Well, the only other place I've ever been is France. But that's because my girlfriend is from there.

That's pretty wicked. More people should do that. Too much school/work makes people crazy, and by graduation I say anyone's had more than enough of it.

Surfing? That sounds exciting.

That must have been nice as well. A bit more stressful perhaps, considering you were in your girlfriend's family.

Honestly. A break never hurt anyone. And once you start working, you can't stop, it seems. So right before I become a workaholic, I will travel. I just have to convince my dad to let me go...

I liked it, at least. It's a damn good rush out there on the waves.

Yeah...well, stressful is an understatement. We don't really go out there very much anymore.

Sounds like a plan, sweatheart. Maybe you'll find something even better than whatever the hell it is you plan to do when you start going all over the world.

I do enjoy swimming, but I've never been surfing before.

Oh no? That's a shame.

I wouldn't expect any less. Traveling isn't traveling if everything happens as plan.
I like the idea of going somewhere where no one knows about me. You can be anyone you want to be.

Now that's a shame. You should try it some time.

We live for shame, Elley and me.

If you've really got the courage to do it, anyway.

I'm not quite sure I'd be good at it. I'm a total klutz and I have zero balance.

Well I guess it's a good thing then..?

What do you mean if I got the courage? Of course I do! I mean I'm a bit nervous, but that doesn't mean I'm not completely serious about this! I'm always up for adventure! Well most of the time...

It just takes practice! Aren't you friends with Miss Priss Gwenn? Get her to show you that ballet balance she brags about. Then I'll show you how to surf.

I think it is....most of the time.

It was sor t of a general you....but Good thing you have the courage! Otherwise....it wouldn't work so well for you.

That sounds like a deal. Can surf here in UK?

As long as you are happy with it.

You don't sound very convinced...

Damn right you can. I hear Scarborough is good, but there are a lot of places.

Probably because I'm not, babe.

I bet the water is freezing.

But I'm very serious about this. *pouts* I hate it when people don't take me seriously.
