Birthdays

Jan 30, 2011 21:31

I have decided, are slightly depressing. I swear to everyone reading this; I was brushing my hair this morning, and I found a single silver strand just beside my ear. It swayed there, as if taunting me of the fact that, yes, Lily, you are getting far too old, and should probably consider euthenization soon.

Bloody pissing fuck.

A gray hair on my ( Read more... )

I'm sorry, but I could not help but notice that this post was made on your birthday....and sadly no one has responded. I am quite astonished! My birthday, too, was overlooked but I thought it due to it being over the break, yet surely someone as kindhearted as you would have received quite the comforting well-wishes!

...did something happen?

((ooc: when the good guys are away...))

Well, I honestly can't say I expected much attention. Whether or not I'mexactly the best person is currently the topic of heated discussion, and I'm pretty sure most of my house is probably ignoring me until they can decide what to do with me.

Though I do appreciate hearing from you. We never really get a chance to talk.
I had no idea your birthday was so close to mine? What day?

Really? I simply cannot imagine anyone ignoring you, unless you're dealing with a few large-headed individuals. Would it be too personal for me to ask why? Perhaps I can be of some service.

This is very true. Gryffindors tend to avoid us Slytherins like the plague though I have nothing personal against them myself. I appreciate, likewise, being able to speak with you.

My birthday was the 30th of December. I don't usually celebrate it. Being raised in a Muggle orphanage, one sort of gets used to being overlooked. Still, you seemed to have such rapport with many in your house...I'm rather shocked that you too were forgotten. Well, not entirely. It may be late, but here's a happy birthday from me.

((ooc: let's play a game called how many lies are in this post. XD))

Well, I kinda... stunned James in the back the other day. Seems it would have been fine if it had been to his face, but... Anyway. I'm not remorseful at all, either, and it seems to be setting more than a few people off.

Thank you, very much, Tom. Is it okay to call you that?
I suppose a happy birthday is in order from me to you, as well!

[Hmmm.... 6?]

Really? Considering what little I know of James' character, I would hardly be surprised if he deserved it seeing as he seems to enjoy being overly dramatic. Still, to upset a lady to that point is a dire thing. I hope I'm not being too prying in asking what he did. Maybe, as an unbiased third party, I can give you a fair assessment of the situation.

Oh, by all means feel free! Perhaps, if you're not opposed to the idea, we could throw a late joint party. Though I must confess I know next to nothing about throwing parties....

His whole thing with Sirius was a plot to date me. Don't ask me how. But it was.

I... I think I'd enjoy that. Although, I don't know who I'd invite anymore... Remus... Maybe Luna? I know basically what we'd need, but I'm lacking in resources.

That's...a rather twisted scheme if you ask me. Exactly how was masquerading as a bent man supposed to win your heart? I completely understand your reaction. Your worth being won by far more graceful means than that.

Wonderful! Why don't we try it then?

((ooc: should we build off of Luna's post?))

I don't understand anything about the whole situation. I'm not about to apologize, either. I've given him plenty of room to mess with me. That was unacceptable.

I... I'd like that, actually.
We might need a room, though, since neither of us could really use our common room...

Well, I can hardly blame you. I wouldn't apologize either. The ideas that some people find worth pursuing appall me sometimes. I am surprised he can find fault in you for hexing him. What did he honestly expect?

Why not use the Prefect room? I am sure that would be suitable.

Actually, James doesn't seemed deterred by it. He thought it was a sign I was in love with him, apparently...

So long as I have permission from the Head Boy, I'm sure it should be fine!
Prefect room it is. Is there anyone in particular you'd like to invite...?

I suppose in his case ignorance truly is bliss. I am just sorry that you have had to suffer for his folly. I simply detest those types of men. They have a way of making life difficult for everyone in their midst.

I see no reason why it wouldn't be allowed. I...actually haven't given it much thought. Not many Slytherins enjoy the company of other houses, Gryffindors especially, and though I may not be as preferential, my example alone cannot convince. It may be best for me to keep this idea between us. You know how quick to judge some people can be.

((ooc: He just doesn't want anyone to get in between him and his plotting until he chooses so. Once again, the lies in this thing are breathtaking. ))

Well, it's good to at least know a guy with better tastes. You have a way with words, though it does send shivers down my back. It's kind of like you know something the rest of us don't.

I understand. As much as I would like to have as many friends as possible attend, regardless of their house, I'm all too aware of the division. It's unfortunate, but I think it's best if it's kept small anyway.
Why not at least have Luna and Neville come along? Or Remus? They're sweet people, and usually don't judge by first impression.

I'm flattered, though rest assured I'm merely eloquent and nothing more.
That sounds lovely. I of course know Remus well and I've met Luna on a few occasions, though I've yet to make Neville's acquaintance. When shall we have it?

((ooc: Thank you for sending Voldy's ego through the roof, lol. And don't get sucked in by the humility! He totally agrees with everything she said. False humility is all just a ploy! XDD))

I'm... I dunno. Friday before the Hogsmeade trip? Unless you think that might be too soon, of course!

[xD Well, it's working on Lily. She's too starved for decent conversation~]

Sounds excellent. I'll make sure the room is booked for then. Anything else I should take care of?

((ooc: Yeah and she made that all too obvious to Voldy. XDD))
