So, hello there. After about a year of lurking, the personal profile finally arrives.

Most of it will surely be either music or SKins related, or at least for the forseeable future.

To start though, the first fanfic in two years (and second ever). It's one of those rather unimportant 10-song drabble type things that have been going around, just using

Yeah, number 4 is my favourite - it was when I wrote them and still is now.

Still not wuite sure about my style, it feels a bit forced sometimes, and I can definately see that Twistomatic's stuff has had quite an impact, sonot quite sure what to do about that.

But this bit actually works better given what we know now than it did at the time, which shows I at least read Naomi well:

A few months into it all, whatever it is (love, she supposes; forever, maybe), she gets scared again. She’s lost herself, outside of Emily. She can’t pinpoint what she is any more, apart from out of her depth.

Okay, okay, come summer and maybe even before then, the writing will commence. Althought it'll be a struggle whether to go for post-S4 possibilities, The Artist-like rewrites or just some lovely filler stuff ...

Any chance the Artist can just become a completely AU deal? Like, if you rewrite the end of S3 then you can write how the summer should have gone and then you can rewrite S4 and then it's all good. Right?

Yeah, but it's got to a stupide level. I say that every time I see a new photo of her from a slightly different angle but I'm realising now that she's basically just a living piece of art, which is why I think I love Artist so much. She's literally just worth looking at - nothing needs to come of looking at her, it's a worthwhile pursuit in itself.

Yeah, that was a classic case of Skins bait and switch, were who else but Emily could have possibly made something so clearly about Naomi? And then along came Sophia ...

I do love though how every single fic involving Emily either has her being a teacher or something artsy, it's clearly the vibe she gave off. Kinda tarnished a bit this time round, but that was at least partly necessary, as I think we are seeing the side of her that is similar to Katie, and was only hidden before because she was so beaten down.

There's a sport I could get behind.

Yeah, I really wanted Katie to have her own ep but that was more out of fairness and balance for the whole series than actually wanting to see any more of her. As it turned out it was really good, both the bits with just her and the bits with others. So it is good that we get to see how the react differently a year later, compared both to each other and to their old selves.

Emily-wise, the Uni thing is definately anti-Jenna and also wanting to be free of everything, so maybe subconsciously trying to win over that bit of Naomi that she must have surely known was still resistant and unsure.

And that's a given - I still don't buy this boyfriend nonsense.
