In which Miranda and Nellie have a date

[Cowritten with lil_nellie. Ben = poorlil_richboy, Anna = hitchhiker_girl, Kevin is an NPC written by Nellie’s mun. Runs along the same timeline as THIS.]

Nellie was wearing a new deep purple dress, heels, and her hair was fantastically styled on the top of her head. She slung her arm through Miranda's as they got out of the town car and headed for the door of the bar Anna worked in.

"Think she's gonna be happy to see us?" Nellie smirked. She really was hoping this would give them a hint of who this mystery guy was.

"Depends," Miranda said with a smirk. Miranda was wearing something red and strapless, taking advantage of the nice warm weather. She leaned in closer to Nellie as she reached for the door of the bar and held it open. "On whether or not she expects him to show up."

"Good thing for us, we have nothing to do with the rest of our evening," Nellie grinned, leading the way towards the bar.

"Very good thing for us," Miranda nodded as she followed her in.

Nellie spotted Anna and grinned as she sat herself down on a barstool right where her friend couldn't miss her, pulling a stool out for Miranda as well.

Miranda settled in as well, and it was a few minutes later, before Anna made her way down. "Hey, guys -- how's it going?"

"Just fine," Nellie replied with a tilt of her head. "How are you, darlin'?" She made a point of letting her eyes scan the room.

Anna rolled her eyes before shaking her head. "I'm fine. Can I get you guys something to drink?"

"Hmm...surprise me with somethin' fruity," Nellie nodded, turning back to Anna.

"Me too," Miranda nodded, and Anna disappeared down the bar to make their drinks.

"Whatcha think?" Nellie asked. "He here?" She looked around at the few good looking guys that were in the room.

"Hmmm," Miranda replied, looking around, before watching Anna. "Nah -- she's not nervous."

"Shame. Guess we'll just hafta have fun and save snoopin' for another day."

"Guess so," Miranda shrugged. "Oh well. Maybe he'll show up while we're here."

"Good reason to stay here and drink," Nellie nodded, waiting for her drink.

"Exactly," Miranda grinned as Anna brought their drinks back and she picked hers up to take a sip.

Nellie was starting her third drink and she was grinning, leaning against Miranda a bit. "Annnaa, darlin'. Come play with us," she said brightly. And yes, her drawl thickened quite a bit when she was drunk.

"Yes," Miranda said with a grin. "We're all loooonely."

Anna looked at them both, before shaking her head. "I think I'm cutting you guys off."

"Nooo," Nellie gave Anna her best pout and batted her lashes. "We just tryin' to have some fun and spend time with our beautiful Anna."

"And you guys are starting to slur. You're lightweights, you know that, and I'm gonna have to be the one to take you home."

"Means we get to stay til closin' time!" Nellie's arms went up in victory, but she started to fall backwards off of her stool. Luckily a guy standing nearby acted fast enough to catch her. She beamed up at him. "Why thank you, sir."

"That was very nice of you," Miranda said with her own nod of approval.

The man righted Nellie on her stool and flashed the blonds a grin. "I'm a nice guy," he shrugged.

Nellie giggled. "Lucky us."

"Mmm-hmmm," Miranda nodded, before holding out her hand to him. "I'm Miranda. And that's Nellie."

He shook her hand with a nod. "I'm Kevin. Pleasure to meet you both."

Nellie leaned over to shake his hand as well. "Kevin, let me buy you a drink for savin' my life."

His brows raised a bit, his smile creeping higher. With the 'score!' thought clearly going through his head. "Sounds good."

"Good," Miranda grinned, before tugging on his arm and pulling him between them. "And sit for a while! We can talk."

He smirked and sat beside them. "Are you two here with anyone?"

Nellie linked an arm through his and grinned. "I'm here with her and she's here with me. We're havin' a date."

Kevin's eyes grew and he swallowed, speechless.

"Mmm-hmmm," Miranda nodded. "And we're probably gonna go home together later. And we might be a liiiiiiiittle drunk."

"Oh? Two pretty girls shouldn't be trying to get home on their own. If you need a hand.."

"Would you do that?" Miranda said, slapping his arm slightly. "That's so sweet. Because, our friend Anna is supposed t' take us home, but we're kind of annoying when we're drunk, and she has better people to do."

"Better than you two? I find that hard to believe."

Nellie nodded. "Uhhuh. She's havin' secret sex. Me an' M'randa aren't."

"Nope," Miranda shook her head. "We're not even having not-secret sex."

Kevin frowned. "You two are too gorgeous to not be having not-secret sex."

"Awww," Nellie grinned and leaned into him. "You're so sweet. Ain't he sweet, M'randa?"

"Very sweet," she nodded. "And he's right! We should be having not-secret sex."

"Well we already knew that, darlin'. We just don't have anyone to have the not-secret sex with."

"That's very true," Miranda said, crossing her arms in front of her chest lightly.

"That does cause a dilemma," Kevin nodded.

"Yup," Nellie nodded. "Even Maggie is havin' more sex than us."

"Which is sad, because she's Maggie, and she's really kind of a prude."

"She's way too hot to be a prude, too," Nellie nodded.

"But she's got issues," Miranda nodded. "But seriously. Even she's having sex and we're not. That's sad."

"Is there anything I can do to help?" Kevin glanced between them with a concerned look.

Miranda grinned slightly at that, before starting to trip her fingers over his shoulder. "Maaaaaaybe."

He grinned, glancing over to Miranda. "I would be very happy to help. Both of you."

Miranda considered this for a moment, before looking over at Nellie. "We could share, right?"

Nellie frowned, not quite catching on. "Share what?"

"Kevin, silly," Miranda said with a giggle.

"Hmmm...I dunno. I do love you M'randa, but I'm not sure I love you that much."

"Oh," Miranda said with a slight pout, before turning back to Kevin. "Are you here with anybody?"

Kevin looked between the girls and shook his head slowly. He didn't really want to lose his shot at a threesome with two hot blonds. "I'm not," he said. "My friends took off a few minutes ago."

"Awww," Miranda said with a slight pout, before leaning in to rest her head on his shoulder. "You're all alone."

"But I'm having a drink with two beautiful women," he protested.

Nellie chuckled. "That you are."

Miranda flashed him a bright grin, while Anna shook her head and turned to pick up the phone, dialing a familiar number.

"I'm still curious how you two don't have boyfriends," Kevin went on. "Beautiful, funny...it doesn't add up."

"Well, I'm hopeless single and have the attention span of a gnat," Miranda said with a nod.

"And I don't want a boyfriend," Nellie shrugged.

"But that all adds up to no sex," Miranda sighed.

Kevin shook his head. "I still think I can fix that," he smiled. He leaned over to Nellie. "You never know...it might be a lot of fun."

Miranda just looked at Nellie for a moment, before turning suddenly at the sound of the bells on the door jangling. When she did, her face lit up. "BEN!"

Nellie choked on her drink at that and looked over. She immediately felt like a kid caught in a bad situation by a parent. "Ben," she said quietly with a nod.

Kevin just looked over at the Ben guy nervously.

"Ladies -- dude," Ben said with a nod, before looking between Miranda and Nellie. "How's it going?"

"What are you doing here?" Miranda said with a smirk.

"Was in the mood for a drink," he said with a nod. "Who's your friend?"

"Oh! Ben, this is Kevin. Kevin, this is Ben."

"Nice to meet you, Ben replied, extending a hand to him.

"You, too," Kevin shook his hand, a little uncertain as to what was going on.

Nellie just drained her glass. "Kevin was just talkin' about helpin' me and M'randa with our problem."

"You guys have a problem?" Ben frowned, moving over to the other side of Nellie and getting a beer from Anna.

Kevin just kept quiet. He wasn't sure yet if he needed to bolt or not.

"Mmhmm," Nellie nodded. She pouted at Anna for a refill.

Miranda looked between the two of them for a moment, before taking Kevin's arm and starting to hop off the stool. "C'mon. Dance with me."

"Sure," Kevin nodded, going along.

Nellie looked after them. "No fair leaving me!"

Miranda looked over his shoulder at her. "It's awkward dancing with three people!"

"No one else is even dancin' silly," Nellie laughed.

Miranda stuck her tongue out at her, before taking the lead in an awkward slow dance. Ben just watched the two of them for a moment, before shaking his head and taking a sip of his beer. "That guy has no idea what he's getting in to."

Over on the "dance floor", Kevin's arms pulled around Miranda's waist tightly, pulling her hips against his. "Do I need to worry about this Ben guy interrupting my night?" He smirked.

"Mmmmm -- only if you're worried about Nellie coming with us," Miranda smirked. "I don't like to share with Ben."

"Ahh," Kevin nodded, his hands sliding down her back. "So they've got something....but you're free?"

Miranda leaned into his hands and bit her lip slightly. "I'm pretty free, yup."

"Can't say I'm not disappointed to not help both of you, but...I'll help just you," he murmured by her ear.

"I like this plan," Miranda murmured back with a grin.

Kevin grinned. "Have somewhere in mind?"

"Do you have a place in the city?" she asked, batting her eyes up at him innocently.

"A hotel room," he shrugged. "Here on business."

"What hotel?"

"The Millennium," he replied.

"That's a nice hotel," Miranda said with a nod. "I like that one."

"I'm glad," Kevin replied. "Would you like another drink or...we could go check out the nice hotel."

She licked her lips slightly, before looking up at him. "I don't know." She trailed her fingers up his shirt, playing with the buttons lightly. "You could be an evil axe murderer."

Kevin's eyes trailed to her lips. "So could you," he replied quietly.

"That is true," Miranda said with a nod. "So it would probably be smart for me to not have the other drink and go right to the hotel."

Kevin didn't quite get her logic, but he wasn't going to argue. "Do you need to say goodbye to your friends? Should I leave them my resume?" He smirked.

"I'll just let Ben know where I'm going," Miranda said with a nod, before moving back towards the jukebox where Ben was standing.

Kevin just stood back, rocking on his heels a bit impatiently. Miranda reappeared a few minutes later, before taking his hand and starting to drag him out.

***

Kevin let Miranda pull him outside the bar and he glanced around to flag a cab down. His arm slid around her waist, pulling her close. He spotted a free cab and threw his hand up. Miranda leaned into him, looking around as she did. Once the cab arrived, she slid inside, crossing her legs in front of her as she waited for Kevin to slide in next to her. He did so, giving the cabbie the name of his hotel, then moving closer to her. His arm wrapped around her shoulders and he leaned in to her ear. "You are very sexy," he whispered.

"Am I?" she said with a grin, tilting her head so that she was looking up at him. He replied by closing his lips on hers. She kissed him back, brushing her hand against the side of his face, and leaning in closer. He leaned in closer as he deepened the kiss and let his hand slide down her side. She moaned softly at the feel of his hand against her side, tilting her body back against him gently.

He didn't let her go until they reached the hotel, when he quickly paid the driver and pulled her out by the hand, leading the way into the lobby. Miranda followed his lead, looking around at the hotel as she went and bouncing on her heels slightly as they waited for the elevator.

When the elevator doors opened, he pulled her inside, glad it was empty. He hit his floor number as the doors closed and backed up to the wall, pulling her against him. His fingers moved along her curves as he pulled her into another kiss. She pushed herself up on her toes so that she could continue the kiss, wrapping her arms around his neck and leaning in closer. He turned them around, pressing her back to the wall and leaning in close. Her hands slid down over his shoulders, wrapping her arms around him and pushing herself up to deepen the kiss.

He groaned, yanking her back when the doors opened and turning to lead the way down the hall to his room. He stopped at the door, shuffling through his pockets for the key. Miranda waited patiently at his side, leaning back against the wall and waiting for him to open the door. He got the door open and pushed it open the rest of the way, before looking over at her with a little grin.

She smirked back at him before making her way into the room ahead of him, her hands coming up behind her back to reach for the zipper of her dress. His teeth closed on his bottom lip as he pushed the door shut and moved up behind her, reaching to help with the zipper. He pulled it down her back slowly, stepping up closer to her back and kissing her shoulder. She closed her eyes, leaning back against him as she let go of her dress, ready to let it drop from her body.

He slid his hands inside the dress to push it to the floor, and wrapped his arms around her tightly. His lips moved up her neck as he pulled her back tighter to himself. She tilted her head back, pushing her body back against him as she stepped out of the dress, kicking it to the side. He let out another groan and sucked on her skin lightly as he started pushing her towards the bed. She followed his lead, moving towards the bed and letting him do as he pleased. He spun her around and pushed her back onto the bed, falling over her.

Her fingers started to move to the fabric of his shirt, pulling it away from his skin and trying to get it off him. It wasn't fair -- he had to get naked too. He pulled back and pushed his shirt off and to the floor before leaning in and dropping kisses along her chest. She moaned slightly at that, arching her body into his hands as her hands started to explore his back. He paused a moment to undo his pants and kick his way out of them. Then he leaned in again and took hold of her wrists, pinning them over her head as he dropped down to kiss her again.

She wiggled her fingers slightly, arching against him. "No fair."

He smirked slightly. "No?" He pressed his hips closer to her, teasingly.

She whimpered slightly, pressing her hips back against him and shifting her legs so that they were settled against his hips. "I wanna touch."

He linked his fingers through hers. "Maybe I should let you be in charge," he murmured.

"Don't have to," she whispered. "Just don't like being tied down."

"Hate to upset you." He let go of her hands and flipped them over so she was over him. "Touch away," he grinned.

She smirked slightly, before leaning in to kiss him again, letting her hands run down his arms and over his chest. He kissed her back, burying his fingers in her hair and pulling her in closer. She moaned softly into the kiss, before starting to push her hips down against him. One hand moved to the small of her back, holding her closer as he moved to meet her. After awhile he fell back against the bed, eyes closed as he tried to regain his breath. Miranda dropped down on top of him, resting her head against his chest and settling in closer.

He sighed deeply, his hand moving up to rub her back. "Wow," he murmured.

She bit her lip before looking up at him with a grin. "Have fun?"

He nodded with a chuckle. "Still disappointed your friend didn't join us, but...judging by that I don't know that I could have handled two of you."

"Eh, threesomes are overrated anyway," she smirked.

Eyes closing again, he laughed. "For you maybe."

She shrugged. "Been there, done that. Give me some good ol' one-on-one sex any day."

"I'd be more than happy to." He tilted his head to brush his lips to her arm.

She shivered slightly. "Mmmm -- but you're not staying in the city."

Lips still on her arm he glanced up at her. "Guess we'll hafta make the best of the time we have," he grinned.

She smirked a little at that before looking over at him. "How long are you here?"

"Few more days."

"Hmmmm," she said with a sigh. "We may have to take advantage of that."

He smiled, leaning back again and moving his arms around her. "So the sexy-hot blond isn't going to just run out on me, never to be heard from again?"

"Only if you turn out to be an axe murderer."

"Don't own an axe," he murmured.

"Then I think we're good."

"I'd say." He leaned up to kiss her again, his hand sliding from her shoulder blades all the way down to the back of her thighs. She shivered slightly at the touch again, leaning in to the kiss. He pulled his lips from hers, running kisses along her jaw and chin. She kept her eyes closed, just moving her head with his lips in order to give him the best access. He slowly turned them so he was on his side facing her, and he let his lips slide down her throat. She settled into the bed, starting to slide her leg up over his hip.

"Mmm," he groaned softly, moving closer. "Thought I'd need a nap...now I'm not so sure."

"Might get up and leave if you took a nap now," she murmured pushing up against him. "Gettin' a girl all worked up then passing out on her isn't very nice."

"Won't sleep...still need to recharge." His arm tightened around her, pulling her closer.

"Mmmm," she sighed. "Well, take your time."

His fingertips roamed her body slowly. "Gonna help?"

"Maybe," she whispered. "But I did a lot of the work last time."

He angled himself a bit to push his body closer against hers. "Thought you liked touching."

She moaned softly at that, before tipping them backwards so that she was on her back, pulling him with her. He moved over her willingly and started kissing her chest slowly, as his hand found its way to her thigh. She arched up against him, parting her legs slightly to let him settle in between them. He did so, also starting to nip her skin lightly. Her fingers dug into his shoulders as he did, continuing to move her body against his. He continued what he was doing, starting to feel recharged finally.

Miranda followed his lead with every motion, starting to brush one leg against his lightly as it slid over his hip. He groaned deeply at that and moved to rearrange himself over her, dropping in to kiss her again. She leaned into the kiss, kissing him back eagerly. He returned the kiss as he dropped in closer, doing his best to wear her out this time around. And wear her out he did. By the time he dropped to the side next to her, she was out of her breath and her body was starting to demand sleep.

His arm moved around her waist lightly. "Now how do you feel?" he whispered against her ear.

"Sleepy," she sighed softly.

He smiled slightly. "Get some sleep then."

"Mmmkay," she murmured before curling up and closing her eyes.

He sighed and fell asleep as well.

***

When morning came around and the sun came up, Miranda groaned at the intrusion. She was very happy sleeping, and didn't appreciate that the sun's intrusion on that sleep. Rolling over she grabbed the nearest pillow she could find and slammed it over her head, blocking out all the light she could.

Kevin grumbled when his pillow was stolen from under his head. The force of it made him roll away from her. He groaned. "Miranda Warrior Princess," he mumbled.

"Tell the sun to go away," she mumbled.

He rolled back against her and wrapped an arm around her. "Go away sun," he murmured.

"Did it listen?" she asked, poking one eye out to look around.

He grabbed the blankets and yanked them hard, pulling them over their heads. "How's that?"

She pulled her head out from under the pillow and looked around, before nodding and tucking the pillow under her head instead. "Much better."

"Good." He moved closer and kissed her gently.

She kissed him back, moving a hand to cup the side of his face as she did.

He sighed, his hand moving down her back. "Much as I would love to stay in bed with the beautiful naked girl...I've got some things I need to take care of."

She pouted slightly at that. "Work stuff?"

"Mmm, yes." He leaned in and pulled his teeth over her lip lightly. "Forgive me?"

"I guess," she sighed softly. "But only if you promise to buy me dinner."

His brow raised, a mock surprise look on his face. "Dinner? Thought I was just getting a one night stand."

"Well, you said you were only here for a few days -- wanted to make the most of it." She leaned in and nipped at his lips lightly. "We can have a few days stand. Unless there's something you're not telling me."

"Few days sounds good," he replied, pulling her in to kiss her harder. She kissed him back, wrapping her arms around his neck as she did. He pulled away from her after a bit, his breath rough. "I really have to go," he murmured.

She sighed. "Okay."

"Leave me your number. I'll buy you dinner." He kissed her cheek and pulled away from the bed to head for the shower.

Miranda sighed softly, before wrapping the blankets around herself as she rolled over and scribbled her number down on the pad next to the bed. He came out of the shower later, towel wrapped around his waist. He smiled as he walked through the room, glancing over at her. She was mostly dressed at this point, sliding her dress up over the rest of her body, and giving him a smile as she turned to zip it. "Number's on the table."

He nodded, stepping over to her. "Had a lot of fun."

"Me too," she said with a nod.

"Should I see you home?"

"Nah, I'm a city girl," she said with a small smile. "I can make it. Just don't forget to call me."

"Never." He leaned in to kiss her again.

"Good," she sighed as she pulled back from the kiss, before picking up her bag and heading out the door.

He watched her go, then turned around to get dressed.
