A Discovery of Witches
For the past few days, I've been rewatching season one of A Discovery of Witches so that I can refresh my memory before I binge on the second season.
A Discovery of Witches is based on the All Souls Trilogy, written by Deborah Harkness. I love those books. They're in the fantasy genre (witches, demons, vampires- that sort of thing) but they're also historical fiction. My favorite thing of all is that she's a history professor & she actually found the long lost alchemical manuscript that the series is based around. That's what inspired her to write her books.
I don't find the tv show as captivating as the novels, but I still like it so far. The casting is pretty fantastic ❤
