So, Senior year band camp. I can honestly say it was the best time Ive had at camp, it went by too fast, and I didnt want to come home. It's amazing how being friends with your entire class makes the week so much better, plus the fact you're not worried about keeping the cabin clean and getting to pick on the freshmen (no hazing though). Im not going to dexcribe the week day-by-day, but I'll try and pick out important parts.
First night I found out I was sleeping above Mrs. Green (thanks guys). Marching after a night of drinking and 3 hours sleep wasnt as bad as I thought, but I did have a headache by dinner. lol
Monday we did Nifty Nine's for the first time since last season. That was hard, but I wasn't horribly out of shape. The dance was fun, me and Ash made complete fools out of ourselves by being the only people dancing for the first 2 songs. This is also the night that an old friend and I put aside our differences and past to get along for the first time in 1 1/2 years. Pretty cool.
I sang so loud and out of key Tuesday at Karokee that I didnt have a voice Wednesday morning.
Thursday the seniors came up with the best idea in forever. The Junmpsuit games. You pay 25 cents to shoot a water baloon at jumpsuit from one side fo the field to the other with a sling shot. If you hit him, you got 1/4 of the collected pot. This honestly was the most entertainig thing Ive ever done. It kept us out of trouble and busy for 1 1/2 hours for 2 days. The second day, I sat on the l;ine with a few other seniors and jumpsuit to get shot at, and got hit twice directly. It was amazing. lol
Friday came too quickly. Before I knew it, it was Friday night speech time. Mine was longer than I thought it was going to be, but I got out everything I wanted to except thanking Mrs. Green for putting up with me the past 4 years. I stayed up all night with some fo the seniors. We slept on the field, and I got about 30 minutes sleep after dozing off a few times and being woken up everything someone did a check to see who was sleeping. lol We had to move from the 50 to under the tents when it started raining at like 5. Then at 6:30 I went in to take a shower and almost got locked in the cabin from a very tired Mrs. Musick. I got a phone call from Becky and brooke during practice wishing us good luck. Then I got a call from Karen Sawaya during clean up, so i talked to her for afew minutes. They were all in Minnesota for LSM comp. Falling asleep during our very rainy practice Saturday morning wasnt too fun. We were hoping it would keep raining so we wouldnt perform, but it stopped about 1, so we performed, and it was awesome. My parents and Aunt came up, and Richie came up, and thoes were really the only people I wanted to see. So I was happy.
Drove to Frankenmuth with my parents and had amazing chicken dinner, then slept the whole way home. Got home, took my shit out of the truck and fell asleep at 9pm. Woke up today at noon and am now waiting to hang out wiht Richie, have smoked beef brisket for dinner, and work at 6.
