Chicago was ok. Left around 5 and got there about 10:30. We all pitched in and decorated the hotel room with the decorations my mom brought. Then we went to sleep, me on the couch and parents in the bedroom. Dad went and got Alex and Jay at 7:30. There were back by 8:30. We just sat around all day, relaxed, watched christmas movies and football, ate food, and opened presents. The boys both took a cell phone and talked to whoever they wanted for a few hours each. It was really good to see him. He looked really good to. Very in shape and goofy looking in his Cracker Jack uniform. Jay was a cool kid. He is 22 and training to be a Navy Seal. He had already been through college and such, and his dad is in the Navy currently. Really funny guy though. They went back about 6:45 cause Alex had watch at 7:30. We cleaned up a bit, then slept and took off Monday morning at 7:30.
We got back around 3 and took off at 3:30. Picked up Richie and drove out to Aunt Jennifer's for the DeLisle family christmas. Had a blast there. I love that side of my family. They're so much fun and they like to drink, so it's funnier. I ended up getting a Black Eyed Peas CD in the exchange, so that was cool. Plus Jef and Jen got me a cute bracelet and a $15 iTunes gift card. And I got to spend my last free day with Richie. Went home and finished packing and went to sleep.
Woke up at 6:45, showered got ready and left at 7:15 with my dad for the school. And there I waited unitill about 10 for the busses to get there, load everyone and leave. They were really late. Drove there, was kinda boring but I sat in the back of the bus with Barto and were surrounded by Chad, Rob, Jeff, Tony, Ash, Tif, Amanda G. and Lisa. It was funny. Once we got there we had a 2 hour practice in the parking lot of Downtown Disney for the parade. Then we had a few hours to ourselves to walk around and shop and such. We all ate dinner at Planet Hollywood. But we found out there that the bus doors to the instruments hadent been shut correctly and we lost a couple of instruments on the freeway. They recovered all but 2: Sarah Guido's trumpet and a younger students trombone. So they rented new ones for the trip and the bus insurance would cover the instruments.
The next day was Epcot and we visited all the courtries and rode like 3 boat rides. I walked around the whole week wiht Ash, Tony, Amanda, Tif, Rob, TJ and Kevin. We went to the music clinic at 1:30. It was cool for the band, but the guard just sat there and did nothing. They made us do aminal noises for something from Tarzan, but thats it. Went back to the park for the rest of the day. The fireworks at night were really cool. Unfortunitally, Tif deleted all the pics off my camera the night on accident, so I lost all of that days.
Then we went to Universal Island of Adventures on Friday. We went on the roller coasters and water rides, Rob got soaked. Took lots of pictures and had a fun time. That night the 4 of us girls went back to our room, and Kevin called us. He said turn to channel 23 and it was HBO porn. So we watched it. It was quite amusing too. lol
Saturday we went to the Magic Kingdom. That morning we had breakfast wiht Micky and the 2 other schools that we were marching with. It was ok. Walked around the kingdom for a bit, rode space mountain, and splash mountain along with the magic carpet ride. We had to go get read for the parade at 5, so we did that. Got to go behind the scenes and get ready. Marching in the parade was amazing. We were only in the pre-parade, but all the people were crowded and taking pictures. It was freaking amazing. We got stopped in the middle of the parade by the crowd though, then by the train. But it was funny. Had the rest of the night to ourselves, so we rode Thunder Mountain then some rides in Tomorrowland. Buzz Lightyear and the Space rockets were fun. After thoes we ran out to the castel, or as far as we could get just in time for the countdown to midnight. The fireworks that night were amazing. It was like they never ended. I didnt have a new years kiss, and I was really lonely, especially because I was standing right next to Tony and Ashleigh. But it was still ok. Sooooooooooooooooo many people. OMG. They never ended. it was rediculous. I couldnt believe it how many people there were. I can only imagine New York. Yikes! Got back to the hotel at about 3am.
Last day there, we went to MGM. That was an ok park. Not a whole lot to do. More like shows and such,. We rode the Rock 'n' Roller Coaster a few times, and saw the Extreme Stunts show, plus a behing the scenes tour. Muppest 3D and we ate dinner at Pizza Planet!!! It wasnt anything special food wise, but we did get to eat at the arcade from Toy Story. lol There was a Light show that night there, and it was pretty cool. Showed alot of Disney movie clips. There were fireworks at the end of that too. Basically, Disney spends a shit load of money on fireworks. Got on the busses, and started the long trip home. Def. really uncomfortable and couldnt sleep much, even on the floor. Busses arent sleep friendly. Got back to the school at about 9:30 last night and home at 10. I talked to my dad for a little bit and was out like a light by 11:30.
School today was alright. Not alot of kids showed up that went on the trip. They had their parents call them off school. I cant because I have 2 absences already. Oh well. I stayed caught up with all my work. Jamie was at practice tonight to help us write our work. We need another 1:10 or else we get penalized at states. And our first show is in 2 1/2 weeks. Yikes. We'll get it though.
OK, I have 2, 1 page papers to write and a little bit of Chem still left, so I better get going.
