It's bothering me that people still can't get over the fact that our president is black. There is still a lot of underlying political puns around, some subtle, some more blatant. I'm talking about how they keep depicting or connoting that the Obama's are monkeys. There have been comics printed in various papers of a dead monkey that's been shot, and two white police men saying something along the lines of: "well I guess we'll have to get someone else to write the next stimulus bill." There's also other illustrations and t-shirts with a monkey or some phrase or subtitle identifying it as Obama. Even more subtly they are displaying books published about Obama and have a book on monkeys right next to it, even if it's in the political section with other political books around. It's only been seen in some larger cities (NY & San Fran), but it's growing.
