UPDATE, 4 Oct 2011: Sorry, thought I published the date/time correction two days ago, but it looks like it never posted. Here it is again…

CORRECTION, 2 Oct 2011: GSIFF have updated their Occupant listing and it no longer says “opening night” screening. Instead, it shows screening times of Friday October 14th, at 7:00 p.m., and Sunday October 16th at 10:15pm. This is confirmed on Occupant Facebook which now reads: “Premiering at Gotham Film Festival on October 14th!” Sorry for the confusion!

UPDATE, 29 Sep 2011: Just checked the Occupant Facebook and it confirms: “Premiering in NYC at Gotham Film Festival on October 13th!!!”

Gotham Screen International Film Festival have added a page to their site for the Occupant showing - it’s listed as the World Premiere and the Opening Night Screening - so I’m guessing it will air on the festival’s first night (duh!). The post features a photo I don’t remember seeing before and has a Buy Tickets link, though it looks like it’s not yet activated (the general Buy Tickets link still says “coming soon.”)

In the meantime, while the movie’s main site does not appear to be updated, their Facebook Info page has a big update - it now shows under release date: “October 18th on VOD and DVD, iTunes, Netflix.”

That’s good news for those of us who don’t subscribe to Netflix.

Think about it - October 13th - that’s barely more than two weeks away! Woot woot!
