Omg Obama. Obama Obama Obama. I am crying with happiness.
I also just did one of the most fabulous things in my life.
After Obama won, the occupants of lodge 4 and I poured outside to celebrate. Me, Zan, Patrick, Zach Mott, James Dean, Cole run out into the rain screaming "Yes We Did" at the top of our lungs, and it felt like everyone else on campus was pouring out of every building. And then we weren't sure where to go, and so I suggested we run to the sunken garden, because where else we would run to celebrate? And apparently 50 other people must have had the same idea, because every couple of minutes a horde of people would just show up. And there we were, screaming and crying and cartwheeling, and I knew that I was experiencing one of the most historic moments of my life. But we wanted to make it even more epic. So patrick and a couple of the other guys had this idea of runnign into Swem and starting a celebration there. And so a pack of us ran off to the library, screaming our heads off, picking up poeple as we went. And then we burst into swem, a stream of screaming crazy liberals, and got what felt like the entire first floor to jump up and celebrate with us.
Now that's the way to celebrate. I will remember this night for a long, long time. I have NEVER believed in anyone the same way I believe in this man. I have never been moved to tears by a speech on television. I never say that I am proud to be an American. But tonight I am. I am, I am, I am. I have hope and I have faith.
