December this year hasn't been so great. It started off with me getting the flu...and is ending with me still having the flu, along with everyone else, and getting into a car accident this morning.

On Thursday night, I had to take Andrew to the emergency room because he was REALLY sick.  He had a high fever and couldn't stop shaking and throwing up. After having to do a million u-turns on the way to the hospital, I finally got him there and he was able to get a bed right away. They put an IV in him and started pumping him with fluids and medicine. Seeing him lying like that was so difficult. The only time  I can remember being as scared and upset as I was that night was when I saw my dad in the hospital. We stayed there from about 3am until 7 and got home around 7:30. He slept that whole day and is still sleeping. I'm so worried about him, I thought this would be passing by now.

To top off the craziness, I was on my way to work this morning, driving the speedlimit with my seat belt on when all of a sudden some idiot woman pulled her 1990 oldsmobile straight out into the busy road I was driving on. I slammed on my breaks, realizing that I was still going to hit her and steered the car to the left where i hit a huge curb and flew over into the other lane of on-coming traffic. They all slammed on their breaks to avoid hitting me and I managed to turn the car around and head back to the center lane. The stupid lady tried to drive off, but I honked at her continuously until she stayed. The whole right front end of my Jetta is messed up. The tire was demolished, the rim has a huge chunk hanging off of it and my fender is falling off just a bit. I wound up calling the police (and somehow didn't ticket me for having an expired registration) and eventually a tow-truck took my car to the VW deakership. After talking to my insurance, I decided to walk over to the restaurant and go back to work. I called Andrew and he sounded terrible and thought he might have to go to the doctor again. So I turned around and started walking the three miles to my mom's house to pick up her car. About a mile and a half into it, my ex boss Katie and her husband William happened to drive by and took me to my mom's.

Now I finally am back home and Andrew is passed out in bed. I'm so worried about him...and worried about what is going to happen with my car. Because the woman didn't hit me and I swerved on my own which caused the damage, my insurance agent said it may be difficult to prove that it was the woman's fault.  Awesomeeee.

I'm excited for December to be over. My birthday and Christmas passed so quickly, but I am ready for the new year to begin.

Uhgggggggggggggggggggggg.
