Review: MAC Fluidline in Dark Envy

What is it?
MAC Fluidline in Dark Envy is a limited edition from MAC's MAC Me Over Collection. It is kind of a teal green with some micro-shimmer. Fluidlines are meant to be long wearing, smudge-proof gel eyeliners.

Review:
I've heard a lot of hype about this product - how it goes on smoothly with rich pigmentation and it lasts all day; none of that happened to me. I couldn't build this up to a solid dark green line, no matter how many layers I swiped on. Plus, it transferred and shifted around my lids in less than half a day. By the end of the day, it looked like I didn't have eyeliner on!

I don't have much positives to say about this, really. Maybe I have oily lids - but I don't think so, as nothing else like this has happened to me with other products before. I tried to use it as an eyeliner, and then as an eyeshadow base, over primer, without primer, everything! Nothing works. I really cannot build it up, and cannot make it stay on my lids until the end of the day.

Maybe fluidlines just don't work on me? I don't know - this is my first fluidline. I might buy another one just to see if this is one of the colours that cannot work on me, or whether I am just not fated to use fluidlines.
